[Rewarded Review] Decent Hand Shower

This handheld shower is relatively easy to install and comes with Teflon tape. It works well so far, but I haven't had it for long. It puts out a strong spray on one setting. The hose is a decent length. It doesn't have a pause button but it seems to have one setting out of 6 that slows the flow to a trickle. Otherwise, it is a basic but decent hand held shower so far.

[Rewarded Review] Okay, but doesn't feel "quality"

This faucet does not "feel" quality. I think it is perfectly fine if you just want functional. The only thing you need for installation is channel-lock pliers. The directions are straight-forward and the photos are clear. The directions say to use the provided teflon tape between the pipe that comes from the wall and the gizmo that holds the head, even though there is a rubber washer there. I absolutely cannot get that joint to stop dripping when the faucet is in use. I'm afraid to tighten it any further in fear that I might break it, so my next step will be to remove it and try new tape.

The BWE came very well packaged. The kit is light-weight do to all of the components are plastic with metal cladding (except the hose, which appears to be stainless steel). The plastic construction helps keep the handheld shower head weight reasonable, no heavy drops onto the floor or feet.

While sprayer head is made from steel, handle itself is made from very light powdered aluminum alloy with plastic liner inside. Plastic doesn't expand or contract a lot with temperature changes and hence guarantees a good seal. Plastic threaded connections do not rust and seize. Hose has double teflon rubber gaskets on both ends. Cradle is made partially from plastic and partially from aluminum. Cradle itself is made from plastic and will not scratch aluminum handle. It also have rubber stop tab inside to ensure a good grip on the handle. Ball joint is made from aluminum as it should withstand a shear stress created by cradle adjustments. Female thread connection to steel pipe has buil-in strainer inside to keep debris away from clogging sprayer nozzles. Some manufacturers install strainer inside handle treaded connection. This causes hose seals to leak due to high pressure differentials. I'm glad to see that at least here strainer is installed in right place. Flange that goes on to steel pipe to cover wall gap has rubber gasket to firmly secure it on the pipe. I prefer brushed nickel to chrome as it holds nice looks much longer than chrome and is very forgiving to small scratches. With chrome you will see every little scratch as it has a polished surface. Brushed nickel has mini scratches (left by wire brush) and bigger scratches left by kids and time will not be as eye catching as on polished chrome surface.

[Rewarded Review] Nice spray head

Obtained this wall mount hand held shower head for an upcoming bathroom remodel. One thing that really stands out is the shower head is not some flimsy hand held unit. this shower head is very heavy and has several adjustments to suit your desired spray patterns. Comes with all needed items to mount to an existing wall mounted shower head including pipe tape.
