Very lousy quality

I thought this was a “handsome” looking product. When I put it together the “grub screws” (headless) did NOT fit the drawer slides. It’s been difficult to find ones that fit correctly. Also the drawer bottoms sag and do not stay in the groves. I had to purchase a chalk to help secure them in place; and no… I don’t have to much crammed into the drawers to make them sag. Therefore I think there would be a better product for the same cost out there

Poor Quality

It was easy to assemble. But that was it. Within 3 month 4 of the 8 drawers have come apart. the from of them pulled off when opening, tried to take them out and put them back together but they wont go. Wish I had gotten the warranty for this, but I've never had an issue with a dresser from here before and they have all been much cheaper ones. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Dresser is great, instructions are not

putting together this dresser was only made confusing by the paper instructions, if you use the BILT app it comes with, it’s fine, i used a drill, my poor wrists could not handle the extensive amount of aggressive twisting the thing needed for its screws

Waste of time and money

This dresser was time consuming to put together. It didn’t come with instructions but I located them online. The dresser is cheap and barely holds clothes before it started to fall apart. Everything single part of the draws started to fall apart. Less than 5 months later, I’m looking to buy better dresser for my daughters room.

Ok… so I bought this dresser

So this is a “very poor” product. I had to put it together myself and I am not mechanically inclined but the drawer slides “grub screws” ( not head) did not fit. Additionally, after placing clothes in the drawers the bottoms (of the drawers feel out) I bought other grub screws but the size of the holes don’t match the standard sizes. I finally got screws to fit that are larger the the holes and with a flat head on them. I also bought a tube and caulk and secured the outward bottoms of the drawers to make them more secure. BUT…. WHY should you have to do that with a new item?

Waste of money!!! Manufacture is useless

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Would give 0 stars if I could. My husband spent an hour and a half assembling the dresser to find a side was broken. Sent out broken from LOFT the manufacture. I reached out to Walmart and they said I would need to ship the item back to them for a refund or replacement. I explained to them that the item was almost fully built and we needed a new side piece. I requested a new part as we really liked this dresser. They explained that LOFT ships from Walmart and they do not have replacement parts. They told me they could send me back 10% of the total coast ($20 of a $200 dresser) and that I could reach out to LOFT for replacement parts. It took the customer service representative 20 minutes to understand that I purchased this from Walmart. He then told me “oh you didn’t purchase this from loft you need to call the person you bought it from for replacement parts” He then said LOFT is “not associated with Walmart” and to get a replacement part I need to call Walmart. Now i’m out $180 with a dresser that can’t be assembled due to LOFT sending defective/broken parts and they can’t even send me a new piece since “they’re not associated with Walmart” A waste of time and money. Extremely disappointing and I will never order a LOFT item again. Don’t sell things on Walmart if you can’t honor that you sell them here.

The worst materials, not worth the money paid

It was a disaster to assemble! It is flimsy materials and am afraid it will not last. Very weak, flaky, and easily damaged. The instructions were horrible and the screws were not fitting in well to the grooves! Definitely not worth the money and time wasted. Pictures included show the damage sustained during the process of assembling! What a disappointment. I feel like I was ripped off!

IT REALLY DOES NOT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS! I found them on Amazon by searching the product name on google. Instructions are only pictures. It was only me building it and it took me from about 1pm-when I opened the 2 boxes and discovered no instructions to 9pm when all my clothes was in the drawers. I of course took breaks in-between. I do enjoy the way it looks and is what I was looking for in a dresser. However 3 stars because no instructions, screws were all mixed together in 1 bag, boards and screws were not labeled as to what the were.

Great dresser Terrible assembly

Honestly this dresser is really nice, sturdy, and aesthetically pleasing. However, it is worth the extra money to pay someone to come set it up. Assembly on this product is absolutely not for the faint of heart. The virtual instructions say it takes about 90 minutes with 2 people. It took about 4 hours. We followed the instructions step by step just to find out that the metal slats were installed backwards only after viewing the photos and figuring it out on our own. PLUS where it wants you to screw the metal slats in, you must create your own hole for the screws. Would rate this a negative star for ease of assembly if I could. BUT again the finished product is worth it - I would just never set this up myself ever again. Hope this helps!

Works fine - SMELLY SHALLOW DRAWERS - SKIP STEP 17

Have had this for over 6 months and the dresser still SMELLS. Hopefully the odor will dissipate soon. The drawers are ridiculously shallow and only comes out halfway which is terrible when you try to get the contents in the back without hitting your arm against the dresser. HOWEVER, after sliding the drawers into the dresser sliders, skip step 17 which is the two screws to attach the drawer to the dresser slider. These screws stop the drawers from coming out all the way and probably should have been screwed on further in. IF YOU SKIP STEP 17, THE DRAWERS COME OUT ALL THE WAY. You do run the risk of them coming out completely upon opening. but I doubt you will ever pull with such strength to put it out all the way since there's friction of the slider to stop you anyway. The dresser itself is great except for the smell (don't put in your nursery like I did) and the shallow drawers.

Quality haphazard

Not easy to assemble because the directions are illegible. Too small to get any meaningful picture. However, once assembled it went pretty fast. Had to put slides back on again as large dresser did not have arrows on slides like small 4 matching 4 drawer did, and I had them pointed in the wrong direction. Quality control was poor on the 8 drawer. While pulling out the pieces top piece on dresser had a nail staple sticking out on top piece and cut my thumb. A few pieces were damaged. Since I had ordered 2, picked out less damaged pieces. However, even the second dresser had damage on the back left corner of the top that shows but too much of a hassle to return and taking it apart, not an option after preassembly. Cheap plastic handles are a negative but they really don't show in the pictures. Once assembled, looked nice but screws to hold drawers in do not work at all but I don't think they are necessary. Not high quality but looks nice once assembled.

Good product.. modifications makes it even better.

Before I bought these units, I read reviews and watched some videos people submitted ....you have to take them with a grain of salt. There are people out there with abilites and there are idiots. Also people that trash a product and try to say it was defective from the factory or a poor design. You can see what and how the damaged looked in the pictures and see a lot of abuse at times. Nuf' said about that. For a low cost, basic style dresser to be assembled and used by people with common sence normal assembly skills, it will serve you well for a long time. They materials used are of good quality. All the drawers a foil covered insid and out. Your nice cloths will like that and no chance to get snagged up. Design and function shows concern for normal sold usage. Again user common sence should be applied. I made some small changes to improve them a little. First, I glued all the wood dowel pins in place. Use a tooth pick to work some good wood glue down into the pre-drilled hole. Second, When the drawers are assembled I used a big tube of Gorilla heavy duty constructive adhesive ( that sticks to plastic ) and ran a nice even bead around the bottom side of the drawer floor board. This will help tie everything together and help keep the front face board from pulling off or snaping off, if a three year old slams it shut. Third, I replaced all the plastic drawer pulls with nice T-bar style pulls that I got on **** for $*** each. Looks better and it's easier for my wife to pull open with her failing hands. She doesn't have to pinch and pull...just hook her fingers around and pull, much easier. Fourth, I glued the top onto the sides to help make it a little more solid. The instructions are all pictures...no verbage. Be patient ........... Hope this review helps !

Save your time and money

Had high hopes for this dresser, the appearance is modern and looks really nice in the room for the low price. However, none of the pieces came pre-assembled and nothing was labeled which was super frustrating. The directions were only pictures and extremely complicated to follow. It took me and my partner 4.5 hours to assemble it and we're experienced in putting furniture together. The drawers are fragile and fall apart if you aren't careful opening them. The bottom of the drawers are flimsy and don't hold many clothes either. Very disappointed with my purchase and was a waste of money. It's too bad because it really is a nice dresser just very cheaply made. It can hold a television on top of it but the drawers itself are not sturdy at all. Cheap and difficult to put together.

FRUSTRATING TO PUT TOGETHER

Ok. Where to begin. I'm quite well-versed in putting furniture together. Even if the instructions are a little dodgy, I usually just breeze right through it. This took me almost 4 hours over a 2 day period to put together. I had to walk away from it because I almost took a hammer to it. The instructions are weak. There are no words whatsoever. There aren't any part numbers on the screws and such (and there are A LOT). Everything was mixed together in one giant bag. Be extra careful when putting the rails on the dresser. That's an easy one to mess up. Your hand will blister from screwing so much so wear a glove. The handles are plastic. It's fine for us as this is in my daughter's closet. Honestly, it was very inexpensive and the look is contemporary so it works for my daughter hence the 3 stars. I would not, however, recommend this to anyone who has trouble putting together furniture or those who frustrate easily. I actually thought while putting it together that I can't wait to throw this in the trash when we are done with it. Also, be mindful when nailing the back panels on. If you get too close to the edge, you'll bow out the top where the nails are. They need to be centered with the wood on all sides. Once you get to putting the drawers together, if you make it there, you're almost done. I recommend pulling the rails out completely before trying to put the drawers in the dresser. Because this is a space-saving dresser the drawers only pull out slightly. If you look at my photo, the drawers only pull out to the rug.

4 Stars

One of the first items I've bought off overstock and I'm happy with it. The main reason I give it 4-stars is because it took about two hours to put together, the directions could have been a lot better (and booklet stapled), and all the screws/bolts/pieces were in one big bag together and not labeled. Overall it's a nice dresser. We are going to mount our tv but we put it on the dresser for now even though it's not recommended (not sure why) but our tv is very light so for a short time it'll be fine. It's actually pretty heavy once assembled so definitely try to assemble it in the general vicinity of its location. Overall I'm very happy with this piece for the price it was. It'll do it's job and match our other items well! Update 2/19/2023 - We've had this dresser for almost 3 years now and it's still standing strong. We never did mount the TV and have had no issues with our TV sitting on top. The only issue we've had is the bottom of the drawers have come out of their little alcove but it's easy to pop back in. Overall still very happy with this purchase!

Low budget piece for those with low expectations

You know what they say: "You get what you pay for". This same dresser was listed on half a dozen web sites under different names, made in Denmark. The price at Overstock was the best and despite all the negative reviews about this being a flimsy and low quality piece of hardware, we purchased it as it was the most cost effective way for us to get some clean looking storage in the bedroom to match the rest of our white furniture. Low and behold, all reviews are accurate which state that this is truly a low quality item. The callout for the drawers barely opening is correct. I struggle to fit anything and I have average sized hands, not big manly hands like some dudes. There was almost zero damage or factory imperfections to our dresser and I am very surprised it didn't because the packaging materials and "protection" is awfully inadequate to protect this from travel incidents between warehouses and your home. In addition please be aware that everything inside the box was extremely dusty, including particle board shavings. The whole experience was quite gross and required a lot of wiping and cleaning as you go to avoid spreading all the dust around the house. The finished product has serious deficiencies in terms of drawers lining up correctly. there are gaps and misalignments in all 8 drawers. The included handles could not possibly be any cheaper and horrible feeling. It's truly a low budget unit. What irked me the most was the fact that it does not sit flush and level with the floor. The middle of the dresser is lower than the two edges and there is no correcting this other than stuffing additional material under the legs on both left and right sides, or potentially purchasing adjustable height legs for it. Beware also that the bottom drawers would not clear anything but the thinnest of rugs and you will run into issues opening your bottom drawers if you have a thicker rug. Legs are an absolute must for this unit in order to access those bottom two drawers. With all that in mind, it was border line worth the money spent. Would I do it again? No. I'd purchase an **** unit instead of saving a little bit of money by going this route. It's not worth the frustration, low quality and ill-fitting pieces.

BEAUTIFUL FINISH, absolutely TERRIBLE instructions

Rating a 3 because I absolutely LOVE the look of this dresser. Its more than I imagined. Great for the price. Some reviews were saying it doesnt hold much weight but it holds enough for the items I planned/did put in there. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dresser. It adds a great touch to my room. Looks wise, it is amazing. The reason I took away 2 stars is because the set up is absolutely terrible. The instructions barely have ANY wording on it which makes it entirely difficult to put together. The instructions SUCK. I always buy things online and build them at home because I don't ever pay people to build it for me. These instructions leave out details that I had to figure out on my own. After the hassle and anxiety, it came out beautifully but even after I am left with some screws that I have no idea where they go. The instructions were that bad to where I had to knock down 2 stars.

A lot of work

I'll begin by saying that this dresser looks great once it's finished. Unfortunately, it is quite a hassle to get it to that point. It arrived in two boxes the day after it was ordered which was a wonderful surprise (kudos to overstock for the quick delivery). The parts were packaged well, so I had no issues with shipping damages, but I wasn't a fan of the way that the screws, nails, caplocks, etc. were simply dumped in a bag together. After I sorted those pieces and began reading through the assembly instructions I found that the instructions were extremely limited. Without words, I had to rely on the limited pictures and pay EXTRA close attention to details. This led to having to redo steps several times. The assembly ended up becoming a whole day process due to the fact that the instructions were so limited. I almost quit several times but in the end I stuck it out and am satisfied with the end result. It should be noted that the drawers do not open completely (maybe 70%) so I ended up having to use the dresser for a different purpose than originally intended (it would be hassle trying to pull jeans or shirts from these drawers) and the "feet" and handles are plastic not metal.

Stress in a dresser

Where do I start !!! I bought this dresser because it had 2 more drawers than my last one and my old one was falling apart so I ordered it online as pickup, when I went to pick it up they gave me one box so I went home and noticed it wasn’t complete then I read on the main page it was supposed to ship in 2 boxes, so I called Walmart and they had to transferred to 3 different people and said they would call me later in a day if they find the 2nd box so finally they called and I went to pick it up. I came home to put it together and the bag of screws has about a 100 pieces! The wood is definitely CHEAP! The paint was practically peeling off, the drawers do NOT align, and other than the fact that it is confused as F it took me 2 days to put together ( I had help ) , and the instructions don’t have actual directions just pictures, I was close to crying a few times because it is so confusing and the system they used for putting the drawers together is very weak and fragile I need to buy some brackets to attach them better because they’re so flimsy. The pain per of the dresser is all so flimsy it’s not sturdy. The drawers are not that big my old dresser drawers fit more things in it with it being just 6 drawers. So yeah it looks nice but was all this hassle really worth it ? Nope. If you want to go with the cheaper option just for money wise then go ahead but if you want a good quality dresser that will last you along time DONT get this one.

Stay away from this dresser friends...not worth it

Not worth the price friends. What could have taken 3 hours to assemble took days because of following reasons: 1) instruction booklet came with NO words, only pictures. The pictures had labelled parts and labelled hardware to use in each step (seems easy enough right?)...well it might have been had the actual parts and hardware been labelled. Literally NOTHING had a label on it. It was a guessing game trying to match each part to the picture, hoping we got it right. And the hardware came all together in one bag, so not only did I have to separate 100 screws, pegs, etc. by myself, nothing was labelled either so the hardware was a guessing game as well. Total nightmare.
