Easy upgrade to an otherwise boring ceiling

The shape of this ceiling medallion matched my existing chandelier perfectly! It was simple to paint in order to match the ceiling and easy to install. I cut a hole in the center so the lamp mount rested just inside of the moulding. I used a small bit of adhesive around the edges and hid some screws on the inner circle to hold it in place. Love how it turned out!

Beautiful shape and design

This is a beautiful medallion. I wish it would have been a little bit smaller for my needs, but we made it work.

BEAUTIFUL TOUCH!!

Purchased an Angel for the front of my shop, but she looked so lost, that I decided she needed a background and started from there looking at frames, trays and mounting placques used for taxidermy, but didn't want to spend a fortune and wanted to paint it. This medallion came with a raised center which my husband shaved off for me using a Dremel cutting wheel, as the piece is a HARD FOAM product...... After that, I sanded it and wiped it for dust... LOTS OF PLASTIC FOAM DUST!!... and then the next day, took it outside and spray painted it a dark red. After dry I laid the Angel on it and checked for placement and made some pencil marks on it. Using 3" screws which the Angel hangs on, I mounted the medallion on my shop, leaving enough "head" on the screws for the Angel to hang on and I am well pleased with the effect.

This worked great as a nice accent for our new chandelier! We spray pained it and cut the hole out for the chandelier it was thick so keep that in mind. Overall very happy with our purchase!

Measurements Incorrect - Misleading

Website measurements misleading. Product is smaller than stated / published measurements - bought this product (measurements stated on website were greater than 21 inches by 17 inches) to cover a hole in our ceiling that measures 19 inches by 11 inches and product does not cover the hole! Very elegant and nice looking

I made a cut in the center 7 x 4 and painted with Chestnut Brown spray paint- to adopt to my kitchen decorative flower and fruit basket hung from the ceiling. Perfect for the piece and add lot of cosmetic beauty to my kitchen and the decorative flower & fruit basket.

Hide a Hole

I bought this to hide a light fixture box in my ceiling after centering the light over dinning table. It was large enough to allow me to move the light approximately 10" and still hide the old box. Looks great. I used a hack saw blade to cut out the middle to be able to reveal the new box so I could mount the light fixture. The hole I cut was smaller than the fixture cover and the cover actually holds the medallion in place. You may have to use caulk to hold yours up. I wanted to be able to remove the medallion without destroying my ceiling so I didn't use any caulk.

Ceiling medallion

I am making a ceiling fixture to house an antique pressed glass shade. The first step is to make the shape of the medallion out of wood one-inch thick to screw to the ceiling. The molded medallion is attached to that. Then a metal ring is attached to the wood so the glass will hang under the downward face of the medallion. The ring will be fifteen inches in diameter. A standard three light fixture has been adapted to manage the light output. It will be a wonderful light in a walk-in closet
