Great Light
Bought this light to use in my boat for night fishing to be able to spot the boat launch and the banks. Haven't used it yet for that but I have used it around the house and in my back yard and seems to be exactly what I was looking for.
I liked this light so much I bought my father-in-law one
I charged this light the first day that I got it and have used it every night since for 3 or 4 months without charging again until last night...granted that I only use it intermittently while I'm walking my dog to make sure there are no skunks ahead of us. It has a great range with very little bleed. It is very light and easy to carry.
Don't use near saltwater. Use in freshwater is OK.
Used it first 2 times in freshwater and had no problems. Used in Saltwater and occasionally dropped it in sand and after 3 outings the light stopped working due to water egress into the light. I have sent it in for repairs and had to pay for shipping. Waiting for it to arrive to use again.
LED Pro Light for the Persnickety!
Light weight with great candle power. Wish it were heavier for idle positioning and sustainability. Overall 5 Stars!
Very strong spot light.
This is a powerful spotlight. That being said it has a pointed light. You will not any side light that you would normally receive with a flashlight. Even on low beam it is a straight beam. Again no side light. 5 stars
Best light ever! Hands down.
By far the best light I’ve ever had. Brightest solid beam I’ve seen. Battery lasts a few nights on HIGH mode. Only downside is it comes with a 110v AC household charger. 12v DC charger sold separately. I also got the green lense kit. I love it!

We live in bear-cougar-coyote forest country. Once our little dog was chased/bit by a coyote, it only fled when our bigger Aussie ran to the rescue. So in dark hours the spotlight is de rigueur. The included mounting cup is a great way to put the Streamlight right at hand as you walk out the back door at night. Its really bright. Significantly brighter than the older Cyclops it replaces. Though a few ounces heavier. Nice controls. Seems well made. Older arthritic hands may find the trigger a bit stiff.

I live in Minnesota and enjoy staying on the lookout for coyotes that frequent our property. I hear them howling at night and have generally located their bedding area by shining a decent flashlight and waiting to catch the eerie reflection of their eyes. But my typical big name 1000 lumen flashlights (including Streamlight brand) do not reach well to the distance necessary. The area is roughly 500-550 feet from our home. So I purchased this Streamlight Waypoint 300 in hopes of illuminating the area at that distance. I just received my light today and had a chance to try it after dark. WOW. Impressive spot light. I agree with other reviews on light weight, compact design, etc etc. I just wanted to add this comment to reinforce the impressive throw or reach of the center spot beam. You won't be disappointed.

I purchased this light for night time boating on the river. I had one of the old "one million candle power" things previously, it was heavy, short battery life and flimsy. I was concerned that this light would not be as bright. No worries, it's better in every way, smaller, lighter, brighter and seems pretty rugged. Only grip is the position of the brightness selector lever, It could have been positioned so as to facilitate easy, one handed changes.

I used this light originally for running the boat in the dark going duck hunting. This is as strong a light as any I have used hooked up to the battery of the boats. The first year I actually used it all season long without charging it, and that was about 30 hunts about 30 minutes a hunt. I go nowhere without it if I plan on being gone in the dark.

I have six of these, in our vehicles, work, by the night stand, the front door for walking dogs. I gave them out as presents one year and everyone loved them. The holder protects the body if it's bumping around in a truck but not the lens. I cut some plastic to go on the inside of the holder so the lens won't get scratched up. The 4 'C' cells last a long time. We use this in New England walking our dogs twice a day at dawn and dusk and the batteries last ~6 months. I avoid the rechargeable styles only because when the internal battery fails you have a lump of plastic. I have not tried the Streamlight brand of rechargeable and perhaps should since battery technology has advanced so much. The light is so bright it cuts into the woods a good 100 yards+. The flash feature is blinding and I once used it to chase off a bear on our deck. He's probably still blinking out there in the woods. The ratcheting arm lets you use it for different angles and it works great. I work in demolition and this light has identified hazards we otherwise couldn't see. Tough, bright, waterproof and a great price. Get this for the one you love.

Wow I dont think you can find better than this. Yes I purchased 2 for my self when I was traveling to Kenya East Africa and I gave shocker to everyone when I was in the remote areas at night with no electricity. This flashlight has bright lights better than the beam lights of a car. Please just buy it, I was able to watch monkeys and baboon sleeping on top of the trees and animals WOW
Best spotlight I have ever owned
I was curious how long I had owned this, so I just looked up the receipt. It's been over FOUR years!

After renting one of these lights during a cave tour in Central Oregon, I came home and bought one for myself. It is easy to use and one charge lasts a long, long time. I have two black dogs and they easily disappear into my backyard at night. A regular flashlight doesn't help me find them, but this big light illuminates half the yard. I can spot my dogs and holler for them to come back into the house. If they don't come right away, I know exactly where to find them! This light has also helped me spot raccoons and opossums in my yard so that I can keep the dogs indoors and out of trouble. I would totally buy this again. It would make a great gift.

Extremely bright light nice and white LED. Battery life seems well so far have had it two months and havent charged since first day. Gets used at least 5 nights a week at our house. The dimmer setting is very convenient and much nicer than having to cycle through with on switch. Easy locking trigger is nice and solid. It lights up at least 400yds, probably farther but its a little hard to see that far at night anyway.
I purchased the Waypoint spotlight a month ago after using my neighbors. I live on 5 acres in northern Idaho and this light illuminates EVERYTHING! Great light with 3 different intensity levels. Acme had the lowest price, free shipping and it arrived within a few days. I am 100 % satisfied with this waterproof, tough little powerhouse of a spot light!

We purchased this light to be able to watch our dogs when they are outside at night. Our property goes back about 600 feet and our dogs are light colored. This light is absolutely bright enough at 600 feet to see the dogs. It is also very cool to be able to see the deer on the property, too. The only negative I can say about the light is that the handle is a bit short. I am an average size woman and the handle feels a bit short even to me. With that said, the light does not feel top-heavy in my hand and there is no loss of functionality because of the handle. We have had the light for only a week so I cannot speak to battery life yet.
Very good but runtime options impractical
Beautiful design and an oldschool design ethic. LED is blindingly bright and inclusion of lithium brings the whole thing up-to-date. However, the dimming options are: (1) blindingly bright searchlight @3 hrs., (2) generously bright flashlight/ camping spot @6 hrs., (3) only just usable @80 hrs.

Streamlight just flat out makes some stone cold good stuff. Every one of the lights I have purchased from them has impressed me more than the last. No, you wont be jacking deer 500 yards away. And I wouldnt feel confident towing it behind the Bass Tracker. But it will get you out of trouble, find what needs finding and itll work in the pouring rain. You can rest it on the ground and thanks to the handy little built-in kickstand it wont go rolling away. It will charge up and be ready just sitting in your truck. Where its gonna spend 95% of its life anyway. Even comes with a cool holster that I mounted to my lower dash. Ok, C batteries?? WTH? Nobodys perfect. Tough. Bright. Bright yellow. Just damn works. Im in. I know, I ramble. Sorry. Thanks for reading
Very bright with extra features
This is about my 4th or 5th rechargeable spotlight and is definitely the most expensive I've ever purchased. The batteries died in my previous lights after very little actual use. I'm hoping that by spending more, I get more life out of the unit. Things I like on this light are a switch that allows three different light intensities. Every time I squeeze the trigger, I get the light I want. Some lights cycle through a series of different features each time the trigger is squeezed. There is also a piece that will swing down to form a tripod for holding the light so it doesn't need to be constantly held by hand. It is quite small and has a solid feel to it. It is also very bright.
