Dark Sky Perfect

The LARK Wes 1-Light Black Outdoor Wall Lantern Sconce is a great product for Dark Sky communities. I mounted the sconce on an exterior brick wall at a height of about 10 feet it illuminates an area of about 10 foot radius and with a 10w LED bulb, not included, and now it provides soft, downward-directed light to walk around the house. If your don’t have help to install it, you can make an S-shaped hook with some electrical ground wire to hold the sconce and mounting bracket in place while connecting the wires with wire nuts. Just hang the top hook in the mounting box and hand the sconce and mounting bracket on the bottom hook. Set a torpedo level on the 2 mounting screws, not provided, to verify that the light is directed downward. The sconce does not have a photo sensor for automatic dusk to dawn operation.

Lark Wes indoor/outdoor wall sconce

This outdoor/indoor sconce was very easy to install. Instructions and hardware are included. The farmhouse look was what I was interested in and this light matches my farmhouse sconce on the front doorstep. I placed this one on our back door. It can also be used inside the house and is dimmable which would be really nice if you like that kind of decor. It is constructed of decent metal with a powder black finish. I think it looks really cute on my house.

Wes 1 light outdoor barn light black.

Wes black outdoor barn light single bulb. Product was shipped with care. Easy to follow instructions. Please note it will be easier to use the backing plate that comes with the fixture with the fixed bolts attached. You may be able to use an existing back plate if your replacing an existing fixture but the base of the fixture is surprisingly deep and will require the longer bolts to attach the end nuts. Unsure if the shade itself is metal. Feels and sounds almost like plastic.
