[Rewarded Review] Westek Indoor Wireless switch

This is exactly what I needed. This is the second time that I’ve purchased this same light switch. I’ve been using one in another room, for about 10 years. I loved it so much, I bought another one, for a different room. It’s perfect to put a light switch, where there isn’t one. It’s easy to control and install, if you want to mount it on the wall. You could also put it on your nightstand or table, so you don’t have to get up, to turn something on or off. Takes less than 5 minutes to set everything up.

Put your switch where you want it

Works well for areas where you need to have another switch to turn on lights.

Rocker switch did not work

I bought two , one didn’t work . Tried switching lamps and batteries. Still nothing. The second switched worked fine . Lost receipt so I’m out the $25 . Keep your receipt cause it’s a 50/50 chance it won’t work

Bought this one to replace a similar item that died of old age. It works perfectly and adds a switch to light up a room remotely.

Wireless remote off/on control for lamp

It is a good product. This is about the third of it's kind I've bought, but first time online. It works as designed, just too expensive in my opinion.

simple and does not need an app

I got a new one to replace one I had got years ago they last about 7-8 years and work great and do what they are supposed to do.... I use it to turn of and on my shop lights 8 led tube fluorescent style lights...

A bit pricey but very convenient.

I use it to turn on a lamp that's across the room and not easily accessible.

Works OK, but not all the time.

Using it to turn on a light. It works about 75 percent of the time. The other times the light only blinks and stays off. This may or may not be due to the light being florescent. The description details don't specify it works with only certain lights, so whether this is an expected issue or not I cannot tell.

Not as pictured

Look at the picture. The item received is not what is shown. This received item is much bigger and is 3 pronged not two. I kept it but had to buy a bigger waterproof box to house it for outside use. The old one fit in a much smaller box. Walmart needs to update its page for this.

Good product but not designed to last

I purchased two of these Westek wireless switch sets about 18 months ago. They were great....when they worked. Already two of the receivers have failed. I think Westek needs to amp up its quality control as the culprit is always the internal circuitry in the receiver. It’s either a design flaw or, as I suspect, a subsequent failure of one of the elements of the circuit board. They seem to only be designed to last around 18 months. Not surprisingly, the warranty is 1 year. This is NOT how you bolster consumer confidence in your products nor a model for long-term success in (any) business. Funny thing about customers....keep them happy, and they’ll keep coming back (and referring new ones). And this simple tenet one doesn’t need a Harvard MBA to figure out.
