"Mr Cool Mini Split: Unmatched Comfort and Efficiency!"

Exactly what was needed

Got for attic bonus room. Although well insulated got little larger unit than necessary. Had to install right outside of master bedroom window but don't even hear it. Took extra time to install due to unit precharge being low and moisture in system according to HVAC tech but working awesome now.

12K BTU unit is great

I bought one of these scratch and dent units a couple of months ago. I had to look hard to identify the "damage". Warranty was not impacted and the difference in price was worth the slight imperfection. The cooling function works great and the heat function has exceeded my expectations.It was 32 degrees here this morning, we have not lit a fire in the fireplace or used the resistance heaters yet this year. The heat pump has kept up.Our power bill has reduced significantly. Good decision and purchase.

Great DIY Product! Quiet and Easy to Install.

Bought this to cool and dehumidify my garage. Great packaging...well protected and easy to unpack once it arrived. Just follow the instructions and you will be on your way to a comfortable space. Received the newest Enhance Smart Controller which provides the WiFi link to the air conditioner through the SmartHVAC app on my iPhone. The App is great and has worked flawlessly since I installed the mini-split. I like all the features except the history. I feel the ON duration should track the compressor run time, not the system On time. I find the system on time rather worthless in tracking how efficiently my schedules are working.

Mini Split AC Great. Customer Support Not So Much

Unit works great after repairs. The outdoor unit received had a defect. Customer Support diagnosed the issue and sent a replacement part. However, when I asked how to install the part I was told Customer Support did not provide phone support help for installation of the replacement part.

Experience of Mechanically Competent Home Owner

I bought the unit about six months and ago. It worked very well at air conditioning a fairly large master bedroom suite and it is extremely quiet. I tried using it for heating and failed to properly place it on the hear mode. Once corrected, it worked equally well for heating. This is an excellent functional unit, but the installation was more of a challenge than the online videos represent, so anticipate that it will take more time and effort than your optimum expectations. It is doable and you will need a second person to help you with the mounting on the wall. I am overall very pleased with the unit.

Purchased this product for a new construction 720 square foot garage with 12' ceilings. Installation was relatively easy for someone mechanically inclined. My AC guy performed the steps necessary to bring the system online. Cooling is quick and even throughout the garage, thermostat set at 78* in the AZ desert heat, performs great. Our winters are not severe, but chilly. Thermostat set to 68* in heating mode brings the shop up to temp within 30 minutes. Probably the best feature is how quiet the unit is. The indoor unit is whisper quiet and the out door unit is not as loud as a box fan. Great Value!

Mr Cool saved me $4000

So aside from some basic knowledge on how to screw in a light bulb I had never tackled anything this big, after watching some YouTube videos I felt confident enough to install it myself, the hardest part was making room on my electrical panel to install the new breaker and after purchasing some single pole 20A breakers I had enough room to put the new breaker, the second most difficult part was actually drilling a hole through the wall, simply because the drill bit was not as long and the width of the wall.Let me add that you shouldn't cheap out on the disconnect box for the outside,I initially purchased the $10 one from Home Depot and the disconnect was bent and so I had to troubleshoot from the breaker all the way to the Unit sooo get the $30 one with fuses as a double measure. The unit was installed nat the end of summer 2018 and it cooled my 1200sqft 18ft ceiling main level effortlessly. Heating is not as efficient, specifically here in Atlanta when the temp drops below 40F, the air coming out is not as hot even in turbo mode. All that being said I had gotten mutiple quotes from different contractors and they were all comming in at $4800 plus for a 14 seer 2 ton unit. Total cost of the project was $1490 for the unit, $100 in electrical supplies and $7 for the lineset cover which is basically a square plastic gutter from Ace hardware.If you were having second thoughts...don't this will save you $$$$
