This Gorilla Black Tape is a game-changer! I've been using it for years and it's hands-down the best tape I've ever tried. It's incredibly strong, weather-resistant, and sticks to just about everything. I love that it comes in a few different colors, so I can match it to my decor. I use it every year to seal around my air conditioner (those in room ones really leave a lot to be desired with weather-proofing). This tear-resistent, super strong magic tape always does the trick.

Thanks @influenster and @gorillatough for the opportunity to test this product. I had a small leak in my she-shead that was leaking every time it rained . I used this to cover the little hole. I've had no more water in the floor since the application. It's simple to use ,just cut off the length you need and peel the clear coat off and stick it. Can be used for many projects. Super adhesive. I do recommend this product.

Can’t give more than 4 stars right now because I haven’t had enough time to gauge the longevity of adhesion. Have only used it to seal a clear/white backup light and the cracked brake light cover (red) on my truck. Backed into too many poles. This tape is very thick and rubbery. Very clear in color. Has a strong adhesive on one side. The adhesive side has a backing that you peel off as applying. Take you time and it’ll work fine. Sticks firmly and quickly. Be careful when applying to ensure it doesn’t fold back on itself or you may have to cut off that portion.

I tried this to seal the backing on a rug. The dog kept chewing it, and I thought this might help. Well, it stuck to the rug fine, and even kept it from slipping on the floor. However, it pulls off via determined dog teeth quite well. Not intended for my purpose. Was easy to apply, but had to clean the scissors afterwards. Opening the roll wasn't the easiest, as it stuck to the packaging. Will try Gorilla's regular tape next, I think. Gorilla makes good products.

This Gorilla tape is very durable and can be used for a slew of home repairs. My shower was leaking and I had no caulk, which caulk probably wouldn’t have fixed it anyhow because of the way the shower wall was leaking to begin with but the tape definitely was a quick easy fix until we can get it repaired properly. I had no idea that gorilla made tape. I will definitely continue to purchase it from here on out. I want to make sure I have it on hand at all times. I highly recommend this tape.

I applied this to a rubber trash can lid that was splitting and also to an animal food container. Application was easy, the tape cut nicely and didn't rip. I did have a hard time getting it to stick at first on an area that was kind of wet. It does say that you can apply to wet or dry surfaces, it just took some extra constant pressure to make it adhere. I haven't noticed any peeling. The edges are kind of sticky, so I think it'll probably attract dust and grime easily. Storing it once opened is rather difficult because it wants to stick to surfaces.

Repaired Pergola Canopy with wind tear

Nylon pergola top had stress tear about 14 in long from recent high winds. Duck tape didn't stick and special RV awning tape wouldn't hold with the wind. Applied the Gorilla Waterproof Patch: first small strips cut about 4in by 1 in across the tear every 3 in and then a large patch 4in by 18in along the tear. Did this on both sides. Still holding now after a few weeks and rain storms with high wind. I will do a better job once I take the canopy down for the winter as currently a little wrinkled as I repaired it in the wind.

After the extensive positive reviews on this product, i decided to make the leap and purchase multiple rolls. I followed the instructions perfectly. Applied to a few crack on my plastic shed all was looking great. Made sure it was adhesed properly. Rained that night. The next day the tape had all lifted and let in water. I cannot understand the positve reviews for it to be this bad. I am now seeking to try and reclaim the money wasted. I do not reccomend it at all.

For years i have been dealing with the pool stores Round Massachusetts for high quality pool patches and tapes for my pool whenever theres a hole in pool thats needs to be patched. It was not until a good friend told me that’ I was squandering thousands of dollars at those pool stores without any good results. My friend told me that she had purchased the gorilla glue and waterproof tape at the Home Depot store in Brockton and that she was a thousand percent happy with the product. So, I decided to gave it a try and boy was she right. This product sure enough solved all of my pool patching issues.!! I will recommend it to anyone who has a leaking hole in there pool.

Absolut Trash

We LOVED flex seal tape. You know why? It is sticky and it works. This trash is the exact opposite of both. Needed to repair a tiny pinhole leak in a pool. If it so much as SEES water it immediately loses all tack. Held it firmly in place for 10 minutes. Let go and you could see the water build up underneath before the entire thing slid off. Cleaned the surface with an alcohol wipe. Dried it and had someone cover the hole from the inside while applied. Tried 4 times. Nothing. Useless. Worthless.

Gorilla glue saved me 1800 in repairs for my 22 year old washer. The drum lifter snapped off and 1) they don't MAKE them anymore and 2) if they DID it would require taking the drums OUT of the machine, removing the broken one and installing the 'repaired' (or new) one. the 19 year old technician said he would tell his mother not to bother, just get a new washer OR let him "SLAP ON SOME GORILLA TAPE and use it like that until she was good and ready to get a new washer." I Gorilla'd it myself, and it's been great for about 6 weeks so far. Got a new machine on order, needs another month! I check it every time I load up the washer and it's pretty secure still.

The tape did not like to stick to the acrylic Lense plastic luminaire lamp cover which was cracked after falling and needed to be taped back together to be able to hang in place from the lamp until a new cover could be located. The tape was about half the stickiness I felt the manufacture should have incorporated into the product. I get the sense the sense that this tape would be difficult to bond to many surfaces and ideal for surfaces that are flat, smooth and sterile. If you have curves, texture and the surface is not washed with a degreaser the tape is not going to hold. I feel the manufacture should include alcohol pads with the tape to help remove any contaminates.

I cannot get over this stuff and do not know why I haven’t had this on hand before! If applied without ripples and air bubbles this tape makes a tight lock keeping air, water and wind out, staying sealed nicely. It adheres to practically almost anything! It’s great for a temporary or permanent fix. This is a heavy duty tape making duct tape look like masking tape. It is a bit touchy to peel off because it is so tacky, so be careful with that. And, make sure the final placement is when you want it because this tape is not going anywhere!

Tough tape made well! I received this product for free from Influenster and Gorilla in exchange for my honest review. This tape is clear so it's not noticeable. It sticks very well. You can tell by the feel it is made with good quality. It's waterproof and can be used outdoors. It's long lasting. Perfect for patching and sealing jobs I've done! The packaging is very appealing and noticeable. It's Perfect for indoors and outdoors.

I tried laying this around my shower stall that has the rubber lining removed and is no longer being sealed off from the water when the shower is in use. Reading the instructions, which were clear and straightforward, I prepared the area and cut off the necessary amount. Works well. You just need to allow a few hours for the adhesive to settle in before you can resume normal use. One thing to know is when using, make sure you know exactly how much you need and the exact placement because once you place it down it’s down. I recommend

I received this Gorilla Waterproof Patch and seal Tape clear 8ft. I had a small area lifting on my convertible top. I applied the Gorilla Tape as instructed. Because it’s clear, you really don’t notice it. So far, I’ve had excellent results when I have tried several different ways to fix this problem. I can’t wait until summer and one of my floaters get a leak. I know without a doubt, my Gortilla Waterproof Pqtch Seal Tape will fix the issue. I won’t worry about sinking to the bottom of the pool knowing my float is patched together with this tape. Thank you Influenster for giving me the opportunity to try and review this product.

We have been long time campers. With that bring said, sometimes things happen and you have to be able to fix with what you have available. Gorilla tape is an absolute must for quick repairs to things like a canvas or an awning. You never know until it’s to late that you have a leak in your canvas and your on a trip. We grabbed this quick and no more leaking on our beds from the rain. Held great during the storm. So much better then actual canvas repair tape. We will always have it in the camper now!

Amazing and highly recommend!

Okay so with mixed reviews before buying this product, I decided to give it a go. I had rotted spots on the base of a bathtub wall fixture just above the tub edge, I cut out an even 1 1/2 inch strip the whole length of the tub walls , added strapping and caulk sealant than used this tape to cover the entire length which was the exact amount for all 3 sides of the tub, I did it in one full strip without cutting the tape aside from making i slit to fit around the faucet in the wall. It became a nice black border, went on smooth and even without any issues and even curved nicely into the rounded inside corners and there it stayed and has not in any way came off or started to move or show any signs of failure, I did add a thin caulk sealant on the top and bottom edge of the tape for extra protection from water penatration. And I am more than satisfied and actually slightly shocked and impressed with how it turned out, both cosmetically speaking and durability/quality end result. Will definitely use this product again on future projects!
