A terrific replacement for recessed CFLs

Very attractive, affordable recessed light fixtures that were used to replace recessed CFLs in our church.

Faulty connectors

This will burn down your house if you use the connectors came with the lights. They are tiny. Even the normal Cu wires can't get in. When turned on, 2 second and tripped breaker with burnt connector. It might be ok with other normal sized connectors.

They look great and easy to install

I have always enjoyed halo lighting quality in the past. Unfortunately, this product line from Home Depot is less than I expected. There are no push on wire connectors on the leads inside the junction boxes. Also, the junction boxes require a Romex connector from me rather than having the, pinched type Romex connectors already incorporated in the junction box. Thirdly, there was not a cardboard template included in the package for cutting out the hole in the ceiling. There was just a paper template folded up with the instructions. The template was just about useless.

Only put 1 circuit in the box and you MAY get it.

The spring is not strong enough to hold it in place if you have 2 circuits in the box.

Matches the HALO recessed LED can trim perfectly! No more shallow can housings, these are the ticket. The driver fits perfectly on the halo wafer new construction plate. Highly recommend

It was an exact replacement and so was a very easy installation. Couldn't ask for more.

Excellent product, metal trim and easy install.

Light worked as it should but I was disappointed to see that the connections weren't push connections. I've bought dozens of similar lights in the past and they always have push connections. These needed to be twisted together which is more work and the mounting holes also could have been better. I prefer the HD brand but bought Halo to match the other lights in the house. Not a fan

More lighting for cooking

Easy install, bright, lumen brightness selector switch. They definitely improve the lighting esthetic of your space!

My husband installed these in our closet. The lighting is just the right amount without blinding me.

These well made lights install easily and look great. I selected these because I needed a shallow mount due to the HVAC found just above my ceiling. These fit perfectly with room to spare. Though I was skeptical regarding their ability to dim, I was pleasantly surprised when I added then LED compatible Lutron dimmer and everything works seamlessly. Since installing these first nine lights, I’ve moved to the adjacent Great Room and am in the process of installing another twelve. Great lights at a great price that I will continue to use and would recommend to others as well.
