Kohler buyer beware!

Purchased this tub as part of a home remodel. During the course of the project for the master bathroom, we needed to change the type of tub we were using from drop in to freestanding. I called Kohler to start the return process and they proceeded to tell me that not only would the cost to return the tub be my responsibility, but also it's my responsibility to arrange carrier pickup. Arranging carrier pickup for an oversized freight item has been extremely difficult and I've been quoted over $1k. I have called Kohler back several times and talk to different people but none of them will help coordinate the return. For our downstairs bathroom we used a different bathtub company and when the bathtub arrived with a scratch and we needed to exchange the item, the company arranged for oversized freight item pickup and the process was seamless and so stress-free (and free cost of return)!

Soaking in the Tub

The tub arrived undamaged, well packed, and with no manufacturing defects. Color ( biscuit) matched other items from that color family. This is a large tub but installation proceeded according to the instructions with no issues. We are very pleased with the quality of the tub.

Defective product. Now waiting almost 2 weeks to be approved for a return/swap for new construction.

Pretty tub

Beautiful tub can’t wait to take my first bath. Being installed tomorrow.

Tub is great but was scratched up when I received it. I don't have time to return it so I will buff it out the best I can. Shame, too. Wayfair items usually arrive unscathed.

Kohler 1136 tub

This is a very large soaking tub. We replaced a smaller whirlpool tub with this tub as it had a longer bottom so could stretch legs out. It holds heat surprisingly well. The tub is a very nice upgrade to our master bathroom.

Nice and deep.

Absolutely beautiful. Great for someone like me with arthritis. It is really deep so added the hand grips to help get in and out.

Fits as it should. It's really big on the inside. Not too heavy but definitely helps to have two people when installing. Only con is it needs a specific drain kit which is not included or sold in stores. So once we ordered the tub and picked it up from the store, we realized we had to order the drain kit and had to wait for that. Order both at the same time to avoid delays.

This Tun was delivered in perfect condition & looked better than I had imagined! It’s so hard to assess online and we appreciated the delivery on time and since it’s not cast iron, it moved about easily! We always imagined a cast iron tub but truly, you won’t go wrong with this one!
