This is the only pillow that actually helps my Cervical Vertigo (due to damaged muscles in the neck which is attached to your cervical spine nerves and thus gives you vertigo) . I tried the Tempur Therapy pillow, too stiff and gave me a headache. I tried the Tempur Cloud pillow, too soft and goes flat after 10 minutes. I tried the Tempur Symphony pillow, what's up with the shape? More like an art piece because the pillow was useless. The medium firmness was great but the shape made no sense. It was too high even though I bought small. (2.75" would have been perfect. I'm 5.5" 125 lbs. The edges are all angled/ beveled and thus no neck support. This Adjustable Cloud pillow finally gave me relief. I love that I can shape and contour the pillow to perfectly support the cervical of my neck. The firmness is just perfect. Not too soft that it goes flat. Not too stiff and firm that it gives you a headache. It's a medium firmness which seems perfect. Overall, I am happy that this pillow has been helping my Cervical Vertigo, finally after two years. Hopefully I'll fully recover soon.
Mistake!!!!
When my order arrived I immediately realized I had purchased the wrong pillows. Less than 24 hours after delivery I reached out Tempur -pedic to see what my options were. Unfortunately they told me there was nothing I could do about it and I would not be able to return or exchange the pillows for the correct ones. One of the pillows is still in the box untouched and the other one was unboxed but was never slept on. I'm pretty bummed and aggravated because these pillows are not cheap and i'm stuck with a product i'm not happy with.
BUYER BEWARE
We purchased two Tempur-Cloud adjustable pillows to go with our new mattress. After three weeks and two phone calls to Tempurpedic to track the shipment, the pillows finally arrived. We were extremely disappointed to find that one pillow was nice and full and usable, but the other pillow was so flat that there was no cushioning for my head. The pillows are adjustable but only to take filling out. There is no provision to add additional filling (unless of course you want to take it out of the other pillow). We called Tempurpedic customer support and were told that we could not return the pillows or get our money back. We were asked to send photos of the pillows, which we did. We asked if they could either send us additional filling or replace the pillow. They will do neither. We received a very curt, almost rude response stating, "The amount of stuffing the pillows have are approximate, not precise. Your pillows are correct." Why would anyone manufacture a product with only approximate specifications? Under those circumstances there is no way for a customer to know or rely upon what kind of product they will get. I will not be doing business with Tempurpedic again and will make sure everyone I know is made aware of the poor quality of their products and their unwillingness to provide any kind of satisfactory customer support. If you purchase these pillows you do so at your own risk and have no guarantee that it will be usable if and when you receive it.
Inconsistent Filling
I like the pillow. As a side-sleeper, it is firm enough to keep my neck aligned but not uncomfortable to me. However, I ordered 2 pillows and they are noticeably inconsistent in the filling. One of the pillows is comfortable and firm, the other has less filling and therefore, not as firm nor as comfortable. It's also obvious in the pillow cases that one of them fills out the pillow case whereas the other does not. I am disappointed in the lack of consistency among the same type of pillow, I had expected the filling to be equal. I'll keep them because I don't want the hassle of returning them; however, I'll probably put them on my guest bed and return to using my old pillows.
Grew To Like It!
We were new to Tempur-Pedic, I mistakenly thought our Temper-symphony pillows would be kings, the weren't (definitely love them though!) I ended up ordering the Temper-Cloud adjustable so that we would have king size pillows. Wasn't a big fan of the irregular feel of the filling material compared to the Temper-symphony. Granted, you can remove material to adjust the overall density, but it still doesn't come close to "symphony" pillow; however, "Cloud's" have met and exceeded the need in two other areas we've found important: The first is added support when sitting up, second and what we find really helpful is as a body pillow when lying on our sides :)
Your 'tempur-ament' will be affected...
The '3.9 out of 5' star rating at the top of the page should have warned me: this is far from a sure-fire purchase. Being a stomach sleeper, I was already armed with a healthy skepticism of pillows deemed fit for 'all sleeping positions'; yet I let the brand recognition of Tempur-pedic sway me. A mistake I've come to help readers like you avoid. I've been using this pillow nightly for one year. I enjoy the removable and washable cover. I enjoy, in principle, the adjust-to-your-liking fill. But in the end, the filling simply feels exceedingly unnatural. It really can't be overstated. It has an unmistakable feeling of 'packaging' material against the cheek. It's also terribly warm on your skin and only grows hotter through the night. Since I sleep on my stomach, I prefer my pillows to have some 'give', and to be more on the thinner side. That means you'll be removing an awful lot of 'stuffing' from this adjustable pillow, which in turn means the filling material will feel to you more like individual pieces rather than a uniform whole (like a beloved, traditional pillow from your past). Even if a sleeper preferred this filling, the removable, zipped liner that encases the experience is also quite thick and has a quilted texture: it's just too much 'material' between your head and what is supposed to be the 'heart' of the product. I certainly recommend looking elsewhere for your pillow needs.
Flattens like a pancake immediately
I have used a Tempur-pedic pillow for over a decade, the one I had was great but I figured it was time to replace it with an upgrade. I liked the idea of adjustable fill, but it seems like their machine does not have any consistency in filling as looking at these reviews some say it is too full and others say not enough. I guess mine was not enough because the first time I put my head on it it flattened like a pancake, no amount of "fluffing" made any difference and it caused me a lot of neck pain, I couldn't even get through the whole night with it. I emailed customer service and they told me that tempur-pedic pillows take getting used to(after I had told them Id been using one for a decade) and that the "personal" nature means they cant accept returns. I don't understand how a pillow is personal, but a mattress is not and therefor returnable. I think that if a product is causing someone pain to the point that they cannot use it they should be able to return it.
This is the best pillow my husband has ever had!
We bought pillows 15 years ago with the purchased our Tempur-pedic mattress. LOVE THEM BOTH. We got a topper for the mattress and it still feels great! We do not wake up with sore backs or necks using our Tempur-pedic pillows and mattress. We purchased a new Tempur-Cloud Adjustable Pillow and my husband likes it better than the previous one. It's firm enough to keep his head elevated and comfortable enough to maintain a comfortable position for his neck all night long. We travel often to visit family and friends and sleep on "other" good mattress' but they do not compare to our Tempur-pedic; after a few days our backs ache and we can't wait to get home! Only wish the mattress was less costly so we could afford to purchase another one.
Bad pillow and even worse customer service
This pillow is not great at all, the website description is nothing like the actual product because once you take the stuffing out, it makes a huge mess and there's nowhere to put the stuffing to refill at once. The memory foam goes down so the product and all just doesn't even make sense, and I had a terrible experience even receiving my pillow. They were not very helpful in the beginning and then once I finally received it and tried it out I had no idea that you weren't able to return or exchange, I was then told you had to click on an external link to be able to see that, which I think that you should have to click something to acknowledge that it's not refundable. I am usually a great customer of tempurpedic as all the other pillows in my house are from there, but now I am pregnant and needed a pillow for side sleeping and this one was recommended by the survey. I'm just overall dissatisfied with the whole tempurpedic experience this go around.
Do not buy - worst quality pillows!
We've had these pillows for over a year now and they have completely lost their shape - they're now lumpy and flat. I actually started waking up with neck pain that I had to switch pillows. I think overtime the foam pieces lose its ability to stay its shape so it just deflats as you're sleeping. Also the return policy is terrible. It's basically final sale otherwise I would have returned these pillow immediately. I am actually surprised by the quality of these pillows because Tempurpedic is such a known brand for quality mattresses. The pillows do have a warranty which was also something I took into consideration when I made the purchase so will see if they honor it.
Honesty is best
I am going to give you the most honest review on this entire website. Everyone's pillow preference is different. I personally like a soft or medium down pillow. Regardless, I wanted to try this. Tempur pedic sent me a pillow that looked like it went thru the dryer. I never used it one time and asked for a refund and they declined.
Not comfortable/Should have Ordered Elsewhere
I ordered this pillow because needed a pillow that was comfortable and supported my neck at a neutral angle. I own a tempurpedic adjustable bed that I love so I figured that I would love the pillow as well. Well I don't. I went with medium soft because I don't like my pillows to be too soft. I tried it the first night and woke up with a sore neck. I tried to get the pillow exchanged for a softer one but unfortunately the tempurpedic guarantee does not extend to pillows. I was told that it takes 30 days to get used to the pillow . Raise your hand if you want to toss/turn and wake up with a soar neck for 30 days. I don't. Needless to say I am disappointed and would recommend getting pillows from a company with a better return/exchange policy.
The Tempur-Pedic pillow has exceeded my expectations.
After using numerous cheap pillows over the years, I can confidently say that the Tempur-Pedic pillow has exceeded my expectations and transformed my sleep experience. From the moment I laid my head on this pillow, I could feel the support and comfort it provided. The ability to contour to the individual curves of my neck and head is great. While the pillows may come overstuffed, it is easy to remove the fill to your desired softness. I'm a side-sleeper so comfort in that position is extremely important to me.
Kinda lumpy, and sleeps hot.
There are plenty of adjustable pillows on the market, and I have tried others before. Layla, for example, makes the same type of pillow but half the price, and double the size. The more pricey Tempur-Pedic pillow has similar but more noticeable flaws. For starters, the Tempur_Cloud is suppose to use the patented temper material, but both pillows inner bits feels identical. The profit margin must be absolutely insane because all it is filled with is messy chopped up scrap foam. There is nothing different in feel between any of these brands. The pillow is lumpy(as lumpy as a MyPillow), and sleeps rather hot. (even the "cooling" version of the pillow sleeps hot!). I wish the foam was either a different higher quality so it wouldnt feel as lumpy, OR I wish they would just bring back the pillow that had the down feathers act as a soft cooling barrier between your foam support and your head.
THE BEST, NO DOUBT
I had been searching for the perfect pillow for longer than 10 years to help relief back pain. Though this pillow is a bit on the bulky side, I believe it is the best because you can adjust it to your personal needs -what more can you ask for? Actually, my previous pillow was considerably comfortable and was adjustable as well, but it was it was made of regular foam. My Temur-Pedic pillow is made with the best and most comfortable materials in the market. And that makes it the best pillow in my book. Some people complain about having to adjust it, I don't mind doing that myself. Actually, I prefer it that way. I get to personalize the way I want my pillow with every situation and every position. How awesome is that? Did I mention my back pain is gone? I sleep like a baby, no medication needed. Thanks Tempur-Pedic.
Not as described
I ordered the adjustable cloud pillow in medium/soft. It is extremely hard. After removing some of the stuffing, it doesn't necessarily make it more soft, the pillow just becomes more giving for your head to sink. After a few hours of sleeping, I found that my head had sunk all the way to the bed and there was no support whatsoever.
BEST PILLOW EVER!
I recently had a cervical fusion surgery and have struggled to find a pillow that offered support without increasing my pain. The pile of high end pillows that i purchased and could not use was getting out of hand. I decided to make 1 last purchase when I came across the Tempur-Pedic pillows at the President's day sale. I purchased the Tempur-Cloud adjustable pillow with little hope that it would provide me the comfort I was seeking but I was intrigued by the idea that it was adjustable. I initially tried to sleep on the pillow with all the fluff and it was no better than the others. The next night I spent 30 mins removing fluff and testing the pillow after every couple of handfuls. TOTAL GAME CHANGER! now i can sleep comfortably throughout the night and wake up without additional neck pain. If you struggle to find the "perfect pillow" I highly encourage you to try the Tempu-Cloud adjustable pillow! The only thing that could be improved is for the company to provide a drawstring bag os something to hold the fluff that was removed.
