I would definitely have a second person to help! It would have taken me forever to put together myself. Id also keep a drill on hand for each person working. That cut down the time by quite a bit (I did 2 of the 10x10 due to the permitting in my area). Everyone is jealous of these pergolas! Theyre the best option!

Things to look for you buy:

Great addition to our backyard. it took about 3 hours with 4 people but we made it work. I would say that the curtains that come with it, im a bit disappointed, they don't close separately. you have to completely close off one side, which means the side next to it can't be tied around the pole.

It is nice, I just wish they made it a little taller so i didnt have to add an 8 block to make it taller other than that its great. I tried purchasing another pergola but

Its ok... the pergola is decently made but on the border of "cheap" thinner metal than I thought. Also its very low. its only like 6 foot 9" or so. it needs to be 3-4 inches higher. Also there is a inch gap at the top and bottom of the bug screen so mosquitos can get in.

This is amazingly well built and sturdy. Arrived on time in perfect condition. The installation men thru Wayfair were very amicable, capable and efficient! This was assembled and installed on our raised deck and we couldn’t be happier! Thanks Wayfair for an amazing price and care-free arrangements! Excellent techs!! Railings next!

Super easy to set up on your own. Just need 3-4 people to lift up at the end to add legs. Absolutely love it!!! Spending lots of time outdoors now. This pergola became an extention of my house. Great home upgrade. Great quality!!!

Arrived as planned even with us needing to reschedule to a Sunday deliver. 1 MAN SHOW until I had my kids help with the individually wrapped louvers. It to me 4hrs to install and VERY PLEASED with how it turned out. We havent had too much rain yet like all of the East Coast but the little we had did not come inside. So far so good.

Love it. Wanted a bigger one, but it was out of stock so I opted to get the next size down. It's sturdy, beautiful, and I use it all the time. I would definitely recommend this. Open the top on sunny days, close it and the curtains on rainy days, we are totally enjoying this product.

I can’t rate the pergola because it’s actually not installed yet. Wayfair’s customer service is atrocious. Missing parts that have taken longer to arrive (still not arrived and I bought the pergola mid May) than the original order despite sitting in their facility. Yes, the fed ex tracking number from the supplier says it was received in your facility on June 7. Deliveries not being left as indicated because I wasn’t home (despite the delivery notification saying they would leave it outside the house). Unwilling to honor the now discounted price even though I still don’t have the full product, and if I bought it now, it would be 40 off. Constantly getting emails saying ‘your issues have been resolved’ when they haven’t. Worst customer service ever. Hiding behind their supplier. Next time, save yourself the heartache and cut out Wayfair from the process and buy directly from supplier. They take no responsibility for the product or the delivery service and instead just blame supplier. supplier.

Completing the project itself was a breeze. However, to get it up and in its permeant location you will need more than two people, this will help ensure it does not buckle when adding the louvres to the top. With the assistance of our neighbor the pergola was up and looks great!! My only concern has been that it has experienced discoloration from the sun.

This is amazing and has transformed our backyard. It took my husband and I six hours to build on our own. The lovers really are water tight and no water comes through when it’s raining. The double curtains are also a major plus. Very nice sturdy materials

Could not be happier with this pergola. We purchased for our new hot tub and have enjoyed the hot tub while listening to the rain, watching the snow, and opening up to see the stars. My hubby put together by himself but it really would be easier with at least two people. Great quality, easy to keep clean… it’s perfect for what we wanted.

We received 6 boxes in perfect conditions. Got a little intimidated by all the boxes but my husband couldn’t wait to start our project.

I bought this because I was tired of wasting $ on umbrellas. I love the coverage it provides on a sunny day and the privacy with all the screen and keeps the mosquito's out. The problem is I need to secure it really well and when it snows I have to clean the snow off the top. More of a nuisance then anything else. For MA/Cape Cod too windy not secure, too much snow can cave in. Other than that it's great.

The finished product is nice. Value is good. It is what we wanted in the space chosen. The directions are pretty good, missing a couple steps but decent. The tools and anchor bolts are a complete joke. Don’t waste your time with them. Throw away the anchor bolts and go buy real ones. If you drill out the leg plates and use good anchor bolts you do not need to move the pergola to drill anchor holes. After you get it set, plumb and square, drill through the hole in the plate into the concrete, and insert the anchor. You will save time, be more accurate, and much happier. I actually assembled two of these pergolas this past weekend(1- 10ftx20ft, 2- 12ftx20ft). The first one took 8hours, loosing time on buying tools and anchor bolts. The second one took 4 hours from opening the first box to tightening the last anchor (not including hanging the curtains). Can be done easily with 2 people, 4 is better.

20x10, it arrived and we felt a bit …no, very intimidated at the prospect of this project. We couldn't wait weeks for our friends, as we were excited (and impatient ), so decided to tackle it ourselves. 2 women assembled it from start to finish - including anchoring it to cement slab (we rented a hammer drill folks!) The directions were perfect - clear pictures and easy to follow. The parts all fit, which is not always true of these pre-manufactured items. 2 supporting legs were damaged, and we are in discussions with the manufacturer on that. BUT - we got everything assembled, everything works, everything looks great - and the 2 of us (women with zero experience) completed it in 13.5-14hrs, over 2 days! Including raising the frame and assembling all 4, then 7 sections.Highly recommend in terms of quality, price, ease of installation, and overall experience!!

[Rewarded Review] Great item, well made

This pergola has made my patio my new happy place. I LOVE the louvers that can open or close to keep rain out. I have mine bolted into papers to make sure it withstands Mid-Atlantic storms. The mesh screens keep most of the bugs out and make it possible to have dinner outside comfortably.

the pergola has a very modern design, exactly as I expected. material seems to be of good quality, all parts were in excellent quality without any kind of damage. although assembly is not very complicated, it takes a lot of time and requires 3 to 4 people. highly recommend, met my expectations.
