Poorly Packages Product

This was a replacement shipment for two 2x4 lights that were damaged in shipment. This is the second shipment that is also damaged. There was absolutely no package protection for these lights prior to shipment. The first set had damaged lenses, the second set had damaged frames. Lowes says to just bring them to a local store for return....yeah right. That is 2 1/2 hours of driving. Won't give me a refund or send return shipping labels. Got a $25 ecard to spend at Lowes...woohoo. Not happy at all.

Lights are fine BUT....

I ordered 16 of these fixtures. They only delivered 12. Of the 12 I received, 11 were damaged. Home Depot gave me credit for the 15 fixtures but it was still a huge pain to go through them all and then have to take them back myself. Who's gonna pay me for my 5 hours of time?

I ordered this light and it arrived broken. I ordered another one and it arrived broken in a different way. The item itself might be okay but the packaging is terrible. I wound up buying a similar Metalux unit at the store and it was fine. Home Depot handled both returns well though.

A great light source

The light in the kitchen was getting very dim. These new lights made the room so much lighter and more attractive. Installing and wiring them up was easy with an assistant to help put them into position.

Would work fine if they didn't arrive damaged.

All 4 arrived with the cheap plastic light cover damaged. One was shipped directly to the client, the others were picked up at Home Depot.

Would not buy again

Light was dented and bent out of the box. Very poor instructions. You need a commercial 0-10v dimmer for the dimming. A regular led dimmer will not work. Which is not stated in the very poor instructions that you have to look up online. Over priced in my opinion. On the plus side the light is brught.

My kitchen is unbelievably dark and I'm always afraid it's not clean enough because I can't see well in there. So I had my husband put this light in for me. As it turns out, there were quite a few spots that needed scrubbing!

I am surprised at how much lighter this was than I thought. A bit on the bulkier side for someone with shorter arns, but not too bad. With the installation instructions it was a breeze to install in a very short period of time. This also improved the visability in my garage by a 100% better than my regular garage lights! I do love that you can adjust the color temperature/lumen settings for those summer months that High is just unnecessary. Will be buying more for my basement!

I replaced a very old, two-bulb fluorescent light kit in my garage with this one. The footprint is a fraction of the size, the light is much brighter and better yet, I don't have to find a place to dispose of and replace the bulbs which were about 7-8' long. I did mount these w/ 4 eye-hole screws and some wire which works great since I'm not in an office setting w drop-down ceilings. Adjustable light feature is nice for those that need it and easy to toggle. It's also really light which made a one-person install a breeze.

They are a 2 pack which is wonderful because we needed some new lights in our garage area. Made out of Aluminum and are LED sourced. Another good thing about them are they are low profile design which is a plus. They are non dimming version but they good for over 60,000 hours which they say comes to 13 years. We love the cool white color temperature it offers around 4000 lumes and 4000 kelvin CCT. They are easy to install and perfect for any area.

This product comes as a two pack. As you can see in the photo below it does not require much packaging or space. This is important when it comes to storing it for future installation and for hauling to the job site. Light fixtures have come a long way in my lifetime and recently for the better. This Flat LED Panel has a low profile that gives it a small footprint. Everything required for installation is already attached and/or self contained. No assembly required. This makes for quick work. It can be installed in a variety of fashions with its unique mounting bracket. Whether it be a flush ceiling mount, hung from a cable, or popped into a drop/grid ceiling. It comes prewired for electric box connection. The fixture has a clean finished look and is well built. I do question the listed output of 4000 Lumens. In my opinion it is more like 3500 Lumens. However, this is plenty to get the job done. The light projected is considered low-glare which is easy on the eyes and makes for better visibility when reading and performing tasks. I am pleased with this product. I would purchase it for my next project and I would recommend it to others.

[Rewarded Review] No Dim Lighting, easy install

The Lithonia CPX 2X4 40L 40K 120 NODIM CP2 is great for a commercial space but I made it work for my garage with a little extra equipment. I originally got this to replace the panel in my laundry room but I picked the wrong product for that area so I ended up using these in my garage. These panels are best suited for drop ceilings which are typically found in commercial spaces, though they can also be suspended or surface box mounted with additional supplies. I watched the installation video online and checked some additional instructions on the website since I don't have a drop ceiling. This allowed me to create a box to slide the panel into and install it, which is very simple and easy to do with just a few wire connections. The panels are not dimmable, which is what I was looking for since I don't use a dimmer switch. These are 2 feet by 4 feet, "4000 lumens and 4000 kelvin CCT for a cool white color temperature," and 120 volts. They are said to be "greater than 70 percent LED lumen maintenance at 60,000 hours or over 13 years with operation 12 hours a day/every day." Since I am not using these commercially I expect them to last a very long time. They have really brightened up my garage.

The packaging on this product provided a good delivery without damage to the product. The frame of the product is a bright white and the lens is a textured white. This is a low profile light and will fit nice in a laundry room, workshop, office, or garage. The product seems robust and of good quality. I cannot speak to the longevity of the product as I have only had it a short time. It is a nice size, without being overly noticeable or not big enough to shed light where you need it.

Have yet to install these 4 light panels, but do have some initial thoughts. First, there are TWO (2) panels in each box. I received 4 boxes and had to return two. That means the price I paid per panel was half what I expected, so the refund was nice. I did not read the description well enough and assumed the panels were only about 1/2" thick. Such a flat panel would be easy to mount on my flat drywalled ceiling. However, the back of each panel is about 1-1/2" thick and now I have to build a 1X3 frame to hold the panel flush to the ceiling. Looks like a good panel, but best used in a drop ceiling, like advertised.

Perfect replacement for drop ceiling light

Used this LED panel to replace a fluorescent fixture that had a humming, failing ballast. The cost was about the same as ballast replacement, so I though I'd give it a try. Works perfectly... dead quiet, good light distribution and pleasing appearance. The only issue you should know about is that the wiring is attached on one end of the fixture at the top, which makes it a little tricky if you have low clearance above the fixture. Other than that a great replacement fixture.

Check for Crushed corners before leaving store

I bought 4 of these units for my basement shop. 1st one out of the box the finished corners were crushed on diagonal corners. Second unit was fine as was third. But, 4th unit was also crushed on two corners. Another review indicated to check the units before you left the store but I thought hey.. can't be my bad luck. So now, it is off to Lowe's to exchange for two undamaged units. BTW. with the corners crushed the lights don't set flat in the ceiling grid. It really irked me.

[Rewarded Review] First time with panels

This is my first experience with a panel light like this and I'm really pleased with it so far. It's made more so for small retail offices, schools/commercial settings, but I do a lot of tedious mechanic work and other delicate craft-like projects in my garage and needed something that would really brighten the place up and give me a very focused light at my work station. This does just that! It is fairly large which is what I was going for - so it practically spans my work station so I can clearly see. I haven't tested it out but I believe it has dimming capabilities too so I appreciate the flexibility. I live in an older home with 8' ceilings so a low profile light was must. The cool bright white is perfect for me to focus but not so blue that it's like a laptop screen that hurts your eyes after a while.

[Rewarded Review] Very Bright without the Glare.

This is a very nice light the color temperature is perfect. I have a white washer and dryer and i hung this close to them with the anti-glare lens i do not get blinded while simply looking at the washer/dryer or directly at the light. I did not have any chain on-hand so i reversed the clips for mounting and screwed it right to the floor joists. The screws on the clips are about 3/16" long so i changed them out with a slightly wider and longer screw being careful not to go right through to the front of the light. The light is also easy to install as it only weighs a few pounds. The thin profile of 1.6" makes it so you do not have to mount it in a drop ceiling but that is what its meant for.

We had some of those florescent lights that uses 4 bulbs. They are a pain to use, the bulbs are expensive and sometimes difficult to change. The fixtures themselves are heavy, but not these new lights we got. To me these lights are a major improvement in every way. These are very light to pick them up and to help hold in place when install. On each corner they have these square latches or hooks that make them very simple to install for anyone. Even to wire them up is very simple and can get to all the wires in one end of the lights. What surprised me just how bright they are. They are brighter than I ever thought they would be. There is no shadows or dark areas. The light surface is smooth and completely lights up. The best lights I have ever installed or have in my house. I recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their house or office.
