KOHLER Deerfield Undermount Cast Iron 33 in.

It is a Double Bowl Cast Iron Kitchen Sink..... and there are ripples/bumps on the inside sides and the bottom. I paid $729 +tax for this double sink and the finishes are poor!! My previous Kohler double sinks were over 40+ years, and the porcelain was smooth from the beginning, no bumpy ripples. I know it's not the worst ever, but I'm very disappointed. I wish I bought a better brand.

Kohler Deerfield 33” enamel sink

I like the overall look of the sink. I checked the sink for cracks when it was delivered and then it sat waiting to be installed. When I opened the box again I noticed the Kohler emblem looked like it had been rubbed one too many times. It didn’t look clean and crisp but like someone had rubbed it with an abrasive sponge or brush. It’s installed now because I didn’t want to go through having to send it back but I’m not happy with having a large renovation in my kitchen and having a sink that looks old and used.

Terrible scratches for a sink!

We purchased this sink as part of our kitchen remodel and I am extremely disappointed! Anything touching the surface of the sink leaves ugly gray marks everywhere. I chose Koehler because I expected to pay extra for a quality product. Do not buy this sink. I have incurred further expense buying silicone mats to prevent further scratches and they’re really not helping. I am extremely disappointed in this terrible product. I have a bar sink also and it is just a bad

Very Nice Sink

We purchased this sink just under two months ago and it was just installed last week with the new granite countertops. We love the look of the sink and the undermount makes for a deeper sink than our previous overmount sink. The finish was consistent and free of any color variations. The sink definitely feels deeper but also each side of the sink feels narrower; probably since the bottom edges are less curved that our old sink. The plumbing assembly was straight forward using previous sink's drain hardware; does not come with new sink.

Great size sink but stains very easily

This sink was installed on Dec 15, 2021. Almost immediately it began to absorb stains from foods, including pie crust, which made a brown stain. I use bar keeper's friend and softscrub only on the sink. I also use a clear vinyl sink protector mat on both sides of sink. The shiny finish on the bottom of the sink is almost gone after 3 weeks of use. My previous kohler cast iron white sink was 23 years old and had just begun to absorb stains. Some days I wish I had it back. It is an undermount and we spent lots of money having quartz tops installed. Very high maintenance sink. I love the size of the sink and the hammered look. Also had to redo plumbing and change out the drop down shelves on front of cabinets. To change out this sink will cost mega bucks. Very disappointed and not sure what to do. I have always considered Kohler a great product.

large pieces chipped off after 2-months of use

This is a beautiful sink. Quality? Not recommended. After a 10 month renovation, we moved in 2 months ago, and this week i cooked for a large group and placed a large pot on the center divider and when I lifted it, about 10 inches of the corner chipped off. I cried, and sobbed. So upsetting because I love this sink. I just got off the phone with Kohler they will reimburse my money. But now I"m stuck with a defective undermount sink that will cost thousands to replace. So sad. I cannot recommend this sink.

Well-made cast iron sink. Difficult to install as under sink mount because of weight, and it does not sit absolutely flush without building support frame. Drop-in installation would be much easier. Once installed, the sink performs perfectly with a slight slope to drain easily with the rear-located drains. Plenty of slots (5) for sink faucet and accessories (easy to cover as undercount but drop-in would require covering). Deeper than almost all cast iron sinks, which requires a slight adjustment in pipe connectors. Please note that the sink does not include sink drains.

Poor Quality Porcelain

I bought this sink in June of 2019, and had it shipped to the contractor who was installing granite countertops in my kitchen. The sink was installed in July of 2019, and I moved into my house at the end of August 2019. I have never been able to place any pots and pans or dishes in the sink unless I place a plastic pad in the bottom of the sink. I still have had to rub out many silver type spots, and still have one small one. I have to rub fairly hard, and then it seems to be removing the finish. Currently it only has one small spot, because I no longer place anything in the sink without a mat or paper towels under it.

Scratches easily

I purchased this in June of 2019, and the granite contractor installed it in July of 2019. I moved in the house at the end of August 2019. I noticed immediately that it scratches if I put dishes or pots and pans directly in the sink. I have to use a rubber mat under them to keep it from making marks on the finish. I have moved around a lot, and have had this type of sink before. None of the other ones have ever scratched.

We just bought a home and the old kitchen from the 1980's had this Kohler white cast iron sink. It looked great except for a little rust on the edge. It wasn't a drop in sink and I figured it last 20 years so I sought out the same Kohler sink for my new kitchen. My costly kitchen and sink was installed on April 9th 2021. On May 9th 2021 I noticed chips in the enamel of the sink. I love this sink and have been carefully cleaning and caring for it. I am very disappointed.

Beautiful sink but big problems

We purchased a new white Deerfield sink to replace our old black sink. Went from undermount to drop in which required our granite being cut to accommodate new sink. Right after installation hairline cracks showed up. Kohler Rep advised us to replace and sent Replacement Letter. We replaced with another Deerfield. It looked great but after 3 days the porcelain started falling off. I had been very careful with the sink not even putting pots in it. Waiting to get with Kohler when they reopen Monday. So much trouble removing and replacing since it weighs about 150 lbs. I even bought a new black faucet with white on levers to match. Now I am unsure what to do.

Drains are further apart than the old Kohler sink

When remodeling, I looked into a stainless steel sink. Too tinny. I just don't like them. Another choice was a composite sink. Look and felt like plastic. Pass. I had cast iron Kohler sink before so I decided to go with what I knew, liked, and the quality I was used to. It took 3 months to come in, but I'm happy I waited for it. My only complaint is that the drains are further apart, so because of the plumbing it messed with all my under cabinet stuff. My slide out garbage container no longer fit, and the R/O system had to be moved around. Eventually with a whole lot of shopping and finagling, I got it all to work. All in all, I wouldn't want anything else. It just took a WHOLE lot of effort to get there.

Love my new kitchen sink!

I recently updated my kitchen with soapstone countertops and after looking at many sink options, I'm glad I decided on a white cast iron undermount sink. It looks gorgeous and the care is easy. I thought it being in white, may require frequent cleaning. But, it doesn't! It seems to always look clean; I just use bar keepers friend on it about once a week. It also doesn't show any scratches. Because of the weight, I thought installation would be difficult. But, it wasn't; it comes with the support brackets that you need. Also, glad I ordered it through build.com. The entire process from ordering and receiving shipment was extremely easy! I also saved a a lot of money! I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

We've had it for a week and so far I really like it. Looks nice and sleek and deep which is great for doing dishes. My husband, who is very experienced, installed it and said it was difficult and time consuming to install. It's heavy and the hardware it came with wasn't sufficient to hold it. Screws started bending immediately so he had to purchase better and stronger hardware including L brackets to reinforce it and hold it properly. He wanted it to be done correctly so we wouldn't have problems in the future. It's a good value for the price and is a quality product. Overall we're happy with our purchase and like the Kohler brand.

Sink is beautiful and well made and exceeded our expectations once we saw the finished install. I was worried the undermount kit included would be sturdy enough to support the 130lb weight of the sink, but it did. However, I had custom build wood cabinets. If your cabinets are not solid wood or made of cheap particle board, you may need to construct a frame for extra support. Also, measure your cabinets carefully to make sure you have the proper space for this sink. If you are having a custom stone countertops cut for this sink, I highly suggest you install the sink first before they measure for the countertops because there isn't much room for error to move this beast once it's in place.
