Exactly what I was looking for to use with my home churned butter!

This is a replacement for another rectangular butter keeper which broke after several years. I like the size and shape as it fits a stick of butter well. However, unlike our previous keeper, the bottom has not been polished and is rough and scratchy (my husband hates the sound of moving it on the countertop.) Also, there is a tiny rough blemish just inside the upper surface. I am concerned that this is a flaw (maybe a crack or something) that will eventually crack or slough off into a break. I wish it were smooth but I can feel this rough spot when I run my finger around the inside surface when cleaning it and think it may break inside.

Works perfectly … love that it’s easy to fit a conventional butter stick into it

I love the rectangle shape

I find it easier to put the butter in this rectangle shaped butter keeper than my old round butter keeper. Just don't forget to add water periodically.
