Fit perfectly and easy to install as a replacement to my broken tank. It took less than 15 minutes to install. Also really appreciated very good protective packaging that kept in in tact on shipping, and was delivered in three days

great toilet for smaller bath

Easy to assemble and great for small bath. Tank and bowl were shipped separately and delivered to my carport with no damage!.

I needed a new toilet tank quick fast and in a hurry as the old one was leaking. Nobody had it in stock. Except Wayfair. From when I hit the button on my phone until it was at my door was less than 48 hours.

Pick a different one this one leaks

Professionally Installed tank twice and it still leaks. I went to ferguson for help and they told me to warranty the tank. Every day multiple times a day there is a small puddle of water. Brand new toilet! Very dissapointed. I just want to be done with my bathroom.

Flat lid/top - Nice feature

Arrived with no issues - i.e. No cracks or chips. No operational problems to date. Flat lid/top - nice feature "stuff" doesn't slide off.

My wife and I really like this toilet "Cadet 3". We purchase it because we both need a taller toilet as it becomes more difficult to stand up with our bad backs and the loss of strength with age. It flushes every time and uses less water than the original contractor installed toilets. Installation was easy. To match other fixtures in the bath room, we needed a bone color. There is not a lot of options in bone color. I was unable to find the Cadet 3 in any of the big box showrooms I had to order it. It did not cost me any extra money to order it as Home Depot shipped it to the store and picked it up. It did require an extra trip to the store to pick it up.

Had it installed and as soon as bowl filled with water, bowl cracked from rim half way down side. Had to remove it, take it apart, put it back in the box and return it. I had read a previous review where one came out of the box with cracked tank. Not sure what is going on with this.

Tank and bowl may crack after only a year or two

This brand and type cracked after being purchased new two years ago. The bowl developed a hairline crack within a year of use. I now find the tank has randomly cracked all the way through from top to bottom. This is in a household of two so it has minimal use.

It uses much less water than my old toilet. The flush water pressure is very effective.

This tank cost $60 instead of $150 for the original tank replacement. Use a die grinder on the bowl bolt holes to cut them into slots for a perfect fit. Don't cut the tank holes or you'll never seal it. Use small wood wedges at the base to keep the installed tank from rocking. Very nice.

Cracked tank

I installed this toilet about 4-6 months ago. Noticed it has a crack now from flush handle down tank. Fortunately I noticed it before it actually broke apart. Very disappointed. I have not registered it yet so looking at how my warranty works- also concerned it will happen again as it seems like lots of reports of tanks cracking.

I had problems with this Cadet 3 toilet tank (water reservoir), but got excellent support from American Standard company. They sent repair parts quickly. There is a quality control issue with the molded ceramic tank (I assume made in China). The toilet tank (to replace broken one I had) arrived with the flush valve and fill valve inside already assembled (this was nice). The instructions say you do not need to touch the internal parts inside already installed, as arrived. Following all instructions carefully, I bolted the tank to the existing base unit. The next two weeks, I struggled with a slow steady leak from the back of the toilet tank, about 4 oz to 5 oz of water a day. I placed a drip container underneath and contacted American Standard. We (incorrectly) thought that the plastic flush valve assembly or the gaskets were the problem. The flush valve assembly removed from the leaky tank was OK. The problem was the ceramic tank. The wall thickness of the ceramic was very uneven at the edge of the tank hole under the flush valve. There was easily 0.060” or 0.08” difference in wall thickness depending on where you measured. The ceramic resting surface was wavy in the rubber gasket seal contact region. There was no way for any rubber gasket to fill that much waviness. A professional plumber I talked to, recommended returning the tank because he said it was unusable. I did not want to return the toilet, because I wanted to finish the job and move on. So, after a bit of research I decided to lay down a bead of marine grade SILICONE RTV over the mating surface of the rubber seal under the flush valve to even out the mating surface. Bought a tube for $5 dollars and assembled the flush valve. No leaks for five days now. I think it is going to hold.. How long I do not know. I have not heard any negatives for using the Silicone RTV. If it ever degrades, within the next five years, I will change my review.

Good flushing, quality questionable

I've had this toilet installed for just over a year now and I found a hairline crack from the handle down to the bottom. It's not a big leak, and doesn't cause the toilet to run, but it is irritating to find water on the floor every day.
