Disconnected heat during first snow and won’t connect back up. Directions not intuitive
Frustrating thermostat
I have found this thermostat hard to program. Despite multiple efforts it seems to always have a mind of its' own. It was recommended by the A/C company but has not lived up to their praise. It isn't worth the money.
Horrible Thermostat
Absolutely NOT user friendly!!! We built a new home two years ago, and our contractor installed this thermostat. I can’t believe Honeywell is still selling this thing!!!
My standard go to non-wifi t-stat
Used in a range of HVAC applications from radiant to multi-stage heat pump systems. Simple, reliable and easy to install. Customers like the intuitive interface and I like the set up options as ease of configuration.
We have a T6 Pro and T6 Pro Smart - both are super
We have lived with our T6 Pro and T6 Pro Smart thermostats for 1 yr and 6 mos respectively. So glad we spent the money for these high quality thermostats. I agree with others that the programming wasn’t totally intuitive but I followed the instructions and got through it just fine. Even now I don’t have to refer to the instructions and I can follow the set up fairly easily. We bought 3 T6 Pro Smarts for a second home that is 4K miles away - the automation is excellent. Would definitely purchase another Honeywell thermostat in the future.
Can't believe this retails for 200$
Can't believe this retails for 200$+ and doesn't come with wifi smart connectivity.
Excellent, local alternative to the Birds/Bees
While this is a smart thermostat with cloud-connected options to energy-saving solutions provided by electric companies, the main draw for me was having a thermostat with total local control with or without internet through an automated home. It's zwave inclusion high lights 50+ entities with total control, the manual is THICK and allows you to truly fine tune your HVAC to your heart's content. The other reviewers seem to want something to hold their hand, to which I would say get a "Pro" thermostat off your wall or hire an HVAC expert to come program it for you if you cant RTFM.
Great item
easy to program
It runs and runs and runs
Just bought a home that recently had a new A/C system installed. We were introduced to the T6 Pro thermostat when the A/C unit would not turn off when the temperature reached the set point on the thermostat. It was set at 78 in the cool setting and the unit would not shut off when the inside reached 78. I mean never. Outside compressor kept running all day long every day. I found the fix though. It involved my old 3 iron and taking the Honeywell PRO into the backyard and adjusting it into multiple pieces strewn about the backyard. I ordered a $28 thermostat from Amazon and problem solved. My power bill also decreased by $97 in the first month with the new thermostat. That is how much a Honeywell thermostat costs you monthly in Clearwater, FL.
Cannot select "prog" to adjust programming
I have the T6Pro Programmable, as the model number stamped inside the thermostat matches, but when I hit menu it only offers "time" or "date". NO "prog" option is available. It just dead ends from time and date.
Pure Garbage
I had this installed 5 days ago and I hate it. Currently I have it set to cool at 78 and the wifi is working, the settings all say their correct and I have ambient settings off, but my a/c keeps going. And going and going. It's 68 in my house. I have fought with this thermostat every morning. Yesterday I shut everything off and it took 20 minutes before my a/c finally stopped.
Pure garbage
This thermostat was installed when I
Horrible firmware? High operating costs.
Everything about this is intuitive. That said, the A/C NEVER shuts off automatically. And I mean NEVER. It will hit whatever temp we set out to, and just keep running and running and running and running until we either bump up the temperature, or manually turn off the AC. Both of those are only temporary solutions, because once it turns back on, it's back to CONTINUOUS running. This summer is our second summer with this thermostat, and there won't be a third. I don't want to calculate how much money we've wasted on energy costs. I've sworn off Honeywell thermostats as a result. I say this as I'm shopping for a new thermostat solely because of this very annoying and costly issue.
Literally doesnt work
This is in my companies store and we set it to cool and the temperature just keeps climbing and never even cools we have tried everything to make it work I have no idea what it’s doing
Easy to operate
We had this thermostat instaled to replace an old Honeywell and we very much like this product. Easy to understand, we don't really have to touch it since it has been programed. The only negative point is that, as it can only be supplied and installed by professionals, we can not have access to some features that are locked (deactivate the recovery option for instance). Overall though, we are satisfied.
The numerous '1-Star Ratings' are well deserved...
Without a doubt this is the absolute worst thermostat I have ever encountered. Very hard to program; even closely reading and following the Manual. I gather from the Corporate responses here that the User must contact the Installer to make changes to the programming of this advanced technology product.....This thermostat has sorely tried my patience....
This is about the my third order from budget. Never received any damage product. Excellence
Complicated but it works
Overall it's not bad and once you actually figure out how to use it and it's set up right it will work as intended. The biggest issue is if they forget to set up the auto change over feature you literally have to call honeywell to figure out how to fix it because there are no manuals or instructions even though they have a video that states this is in the installation manual. After your auto changeover is set just set your desired temperature and put it in permanent hold. Or you can use the schedule feature which works as well with the auto when it's actually enabled. Picture of unit in cooling mode for following schedule.
Programming is a Joke
This thermostat is in a house I recently bought. First, programming this thermostat takes an inordinate amount of time and battery usage because every single time period for EVERY SINGLE DAY has to be done with multiple button pushes which can only be understood after reading the manual. Not intuitive at all. There is no SAVE for ALL DAYS which is an option on a Honeywell thermostat that I had installed in 2012 in another house. Secondly, it absolutely does not switch between Heat and Cool. As another reviewer said, it has to be changed manually, so what's the point of it being programmable??
