Very easy to use, and works well. We bought this to replace our old thermostat. It says that you can have it on continuously if you have the common attached to the C terminal, which we do. The backlight comes on when using but won't stay on. That's a disappointment since we're replacing one that stayed on and lights our hallway.

I chose the Emerson 1F95-1291 to replace a basic white-rodgers 1F89-211. I was looking for more options without getting a "smart" thermostat with wi-fi. I was hoping it would mount in the same holes as the one it replaced. I didn't get lucky there. Otherwise, the installation went quickly. (about 30min) Write down what terminals the wires hooked up to on the old unit, remove and tape the wire ends one at a time, remove old unit, and hook up wires to the new thermostat. If you have a "c" wire it goes pretty easily. I really like the humidity display and features. It has 50+ settings to go through to get it going. The instructions are pretty good as far as explaining what the options are. You can turn off features you may not want or need. I personally like having the options available to me. I was worried about the negative reviews about the relays clicking too loud, but it sounds pretty normal to me, possibly a little quieter than the unit it replaced. At my house at least, the rumble of the air handler and condensing unit firing up is a lot louder than the little tiny click this unit makes. I'm pretty happy with it so far, hopefully it lasts a long time.

This thermostat is packed with features. It has so many settings in the installer configuration that it does take a while to get thru them all. However, the general every day settings are pretty simple. Once it is installed, it is easy to operate. It replaced my original one like it from 2005.

Once installed this unit is very easy to program . Due to the way the old thermostat was wired to control the humidifier we had to call in an expert to do some wiring inside the furnace itself. Love the way it illuminates at night.

Armor heating contractor but our supply houses don't stop this lower part of Michigan what it what I like about this thermostat with all these new high-tech furnaces especially if you have a two-stage furnace you don't get enough humidity in your house and what does thermostat will do if your thermostat or humidity drops below your set point it'll automatically turn your blower and your humidifier on build a humidity back in your air whether you're calling for heat or not
