Brondell DR802 Bidet

Very nice product. The only noticeable issue with it is warm water doesn’t last as long as hoped. Despite that we are completely satisfied with the remote and overall use of product. I also like the fact it’s from Korea where they are standard in most homes. It’s an investment worth taking; we’re very happy with our purchase.

Easy installation just as advertised.

Almost everything I needed in the box. Had to swap out the hard pipe connection to the tank, but that was my issue. All connections, washers, nuts everything needed to complete this job was there. I added Teflon tape just for good measure but with the included rubber washers it most likely wasn't needed. The bowl fitment was perfect and the seat secured perfectly just as the online installation video illustrated. When the water was first turned on, not one leak! Remote keypad works perfectly.

I’ve only had this Swash the 3 weeks and the remote has gone through three sets of batteries. The remote control buttons are not very responsive to touch and are finicky. With such issues with the remote it essentially renders the bidet useless. There are two hard mounted wash buttons on the unit but each time I tried them (after the control didn’t work) the unit went through it’s wash cycle but with cold water. The on demand hot water water is sub par and is ice cold by the end of its standard cycle. Mechanically, the unit seems to work when you can coerce the finicky control to work. I love the bidet concept but this manufacture and model needs more work.

I rated this a 4 star simply because I have never owned or even used a bidet before, so I have no idea what to compare it to. This is one of those things in life that once you use it you wonder why you have not been using it before. I was a bit apprehensive to use it at first, I was afraid it was it going to spray water everywhere, I was going be dripping wet, how was I going to dry myself, you know, all the things anyone who hasn't used one before wonders. Well, relax, it's not like that at all, it is a very, well let’s say, "focused" stream of water, you control the flow, and it doesn't spray everywhere. I have had it about a month now and the wife and I enjoy leaving the bathroom "shower fresh" as she says. It was extremely easy to install, and it secures solidly to the toilet and I mean solidly. The seat does not move around at all like one would think it would, the attachment system is unlike any seat attachment I've ever seen, and I've put a few seats on in my day. As I said earlier, I rated it a 4 star because of my lack of bidet knowledge, but my general overall rating is closer to a 5 star for ease of install and expected function. I will say one thing as word of caution, and it isn't so much a flaw of this brand but of the toilet design. Being this is a round toilet the seat is now shortened front to back, by quite a bit. This makes it a bit of a task for men to, well, let us say, "keep from making contact" with the front of the seat when sitting. On an oval toilet this would not be as much of a problem being, they are longer, but the round toilets just don't leave any room for the tank, pump, heater etc. Just a head’s up. We now are looking into replacing the entire toilet with a bidet and moving this one from downstairs to the upstairs hall bathroom. Well, I hope this helps someone trying to decide on taking the plunge, pun intended!
