Works Great

This dryer was the second one I've ordered. I was so pleased with the quality of the dryer and I had to order another one for our ranch house.

Had this dryer for two years. Heating element and power supply to the element fried last month and I replaced it. Now less than three weeks later the electric board fried and I'm junking it.

Loud Buzzer Alarm 🚨

What a crappy dryer. One knob that controls everything. LOUD 📢 LOUD BELL ALARM WHILE DURING THE COOL DOWN CYCLE. BLARING BUZZER SOUND FOR 10 WHOLE SECONDS. YOU HAVE TO SLAM THE DOOR SHUT BECAUSE IT JUSTS BOUNCES OFF THE CONNECTION POINT.

Basic dryer

This dryer dries clothes effectively. It doesn’t have the extra functions that are convience things like a light inside or an adjustable audio sound….. but it works well for the price.

Loud buzzer

Dries clothes evenly and fast. Wish we could turn the buzzer off or turn the volume down. Don't dry clothes while kids are sleeping or that buzzer will wake them up!

Love it

I absolutely love it. Is not as loud as my old dryer. It has been more energy efficient. Dryer my clothes faster,more even,and on lower heat setting which is better for my clothes.

Buzzer

The finished cycle buzzer is too loud, obnoxious, and goes on for too long. It can't be turned off permanently.

I love my GE dryer. I have had GE washers and dryers for many years and I love this brand. I had Maytag one time and absolutely hated them. As others have stated it does have a very loud buzzer on it but for me that is great. I am deaf on one side so it helps me know when the dryer is done. I would certainly Purchase again if needed.

Not bad for the money

Dryer works great and I love the large capacity. The negatives are there is no light inside of it and no way to disable the buzzer that is very loud and long.

A good buy

Works good so far. Only complaint is cycle done buzzer can’t be turned off, goes off twice for a long time like 6-8 seconds and would wake the dead. Way too loud!

The dryer works so well, and I especially love that I could reverse the door to open towards my washing machine.

Dryer would be great for the hard of hearing

The dryer works good so far. My only issues are the door and the buzzer. The door is hard to open and you have to slam closed to shut it. The buzzer is so loud that it literally hurts my ears. I could probably hear this buzzer from space. It is insanely loud.

Run!

I tried to return to Lowes but, it was passed the 48 hour return policy. Now I will be making a call to GE. I had a dryer that could dry a load of towls in 40 min until it died! This dryer a small load of towels takes 3 hours! My dryer doesn't feel hot or even warm when the buzzer goes off to signal the end of the cycle. I haven't been able to have anything done within 1 cycle.

Worn out belt within 2 months

I bought this dryer brand new June 6th of this year, it worked perfectly up until August 22nd. So 2.5 months. I called GE appliances and told them and they said I was out of their repair range so they called a 3rd party company. Sears repair came out and said nothing was wrong. So I called GE back and they sent out another company. That company said their was an obvious issue, a belt was worn out. So they ordered the belt. This was on October 9th. So first, I would like to ask why is a belt worn out after 2 months of owning. Second, Why did it take so long to get someone to actually diagnose a problem. And third it’s November 13 and THE PIECE STILL HASNT COME IN. And I can’t blame the third party because when I call them they said GE has to order the product because it’s a warrantee product. So GE still hasn’t sent them the part that was ordered October 10th, OVER A MONTH AGO. So just to reiterate, I have owned the dryer for 6 months. It works a total of 2.5 months, so I have had a broken dryer longer than it actually worked and all they have done is sent a 75 dollar check to cover laundromat services. Incase you’re wondering 75 dollars barely covers a month of laundry services let alone 3.5. And just to add fire to this flame. Over the past 3 months I have called GE over a dozen times about it and have receipts for every call. Yet here u am still dryer less.

Nice dryer

Works great, bigger than the old one but the end of cycle buzzer has to go.

Good basic features

I am satisfied with this dryer. It dries well and the medium heat is excellent for active wear. It does not have a light which would be a good added feature. My only complaint is that the ending buzzer could wake the dead.
