Really quiet on "sleep" mode

I only gave it 4 stars because it is a bit soon to tell how effective it is in our space. But I really like the slim design and have always had good experiences with Vornado products.

Great Filter!!

My last Vornado Filter lasted 20 Years running everyday!!! Finally bought a new one! They work great, I highly recommend Vornado!

Great product

I got one from my job as a gift for 10 yrs of service. I love it and just purchased another one for the second bedroom. They are the best. Thinking about getting one for the living room.

Quiet and does the job! Allergies are better. Even the dog has less allergies. Filter lasted for about 8 months before it said to replace.

Very quiet on night mode

After an exhaustive online search, I chose to purchase the Vornado AC550 Air Purifier because it is made in the USA, and the 5 year Vornado warranty is excellent. I use this air purifier in my bedroom and the night mode feature is perfectly quiet, just as I was hoping for. (I don't like a lot of white noise while I sleep because I need to hear my kids if they wake in the night.) I crank it all the way up while I'm vacuuming or dusting and I leave it running on high for an hour or so to clean the air. When I'm not cleaning I use the auto mode during the daytime and switch to night mode when I go to bed. Since I bought this unit I have had less dust in my room. Overall, I'm really happy with it.

I bought this product a month ago, best thing I ever done. Love it and it works very well as described.

Smoke clearance

I live in Oregon where fires are common. Even though I have double pane windows, smoke gets in my house. After a recent red air alert, I turned on my air purifier full power, & the smoke cleared within a couple of hours. I am amazed at its efficiency. Luckily, my sister who lives in Kansas where products are designed recommended Vornado & knows about the quality of their products.

Replacement for a previous Vornado AC550 on which the fan died after 10 years of use. We were happy with the previous one and already had replacement filters, so purchased the same model. Arrived quickly from shipper and was well packaged!

Like it!

This air purifier is super quiet it has a touch screen, unlike my other VARNADO air purifier that I bought over 5 years ago. My older one is loud on high this one is super quiet. I have asthma & allergies & my kiddos have allergies as well. We have noticed a big difference in our sneezing & snorting like pigs:) the air is cleaner. I don't see as much dust like I did before so that tells m me it working as well. When I have it on auto and I hit my weed you can hear the fan rev up. I really like this model & the old one has moved to another part of the home now.

Works great

Just bought air purifier a month ago and love it. It have noticed a significant difference in the dust plus it is quite. Thinking about ordering another one for downstairs.
