Dyson HP10 Air Purifier Heater &Fan w/Extra Filter

I have truly enjoyed my Dyson HP10 Air Purifier Heater & Fan with Extra Filter. Since I've been using it I haven't had to use my heater in my home as we have normally mild winters in San Antonio, Tx. I love how once it reaches the temperture setting it automatically shuts off and turns on when needed. Therefore not running all the time. This replaced my first Dyson fan tower that had recently stopped working. I'm hoping to get it repaired if possible. I'm not sure if people out there do this or not. I had had that fan for many years. I can only hope.

[Rewarded Review] Identity crisis maybe

Maybe we were looking into the wrong product, we wanted a space heater for a room just to take the chill off. Well, this doesn't really do that very well compared to our $50 hardware store heaters, and this cost 8 times more! And the more I looked at it once it arrived and researched, I'm not sure what it wants to be. The fan is terrible, it barely blows, the heat is not great, it has an air purifier with a nice display I guess but probably too small to purify anything but a closet space? and ok.. it has an unusual look. But for us this is more style(?) I guess than utility. If you want to stay cold for that price and look at it, maybe it works for you. I was talking to another guy looking at it and he said he had a Dyson vacuum, which dawned on both of us that maybe they are trying too hard to come up with something. Dyson are good people, it's just this product maybe has an identity crisis, and a high-priced one.

Product is great BUT NO EXTRA FILTER

Product is great and set up was easy; HOWEVER, presentation and product clearly states it comes with an extra filter. THIS IS NOT TRUE AND IS FALSE ADVERTISING! When I first called customer service she said to send that one back and they would send another one to which is said there was no guarantee the second one would not have the additional filter missing. She than said to call Dyson for the extra filter WHAT! So I called Dyson and their representative said they do not supply missing filters that QVC sells as being included and they have had several of the same complaints about QVC.

Not energy efficient

So I love Dyson products and I have many. I bought this Hot Cool Dyson for my kids. They live in NC and just needed something to take the chill off in the morning. They noticed it was making the receptacle hot so my daughter checked out the volts. Turns out it really uses a lot of electricity for the hot link. I’m not sure about the cool. We have one too and I used the cool all summer, but since I used it on hot I noticed a quick increase in my electric bill. So just be informed. You wouldn’t want to run it all the time on hot if that’s the case . Just a heads up. Otherwise it’s an awesome Dyson product so far.

Beautiful dyson 3 in 1

I love this amazing purifier! It’s a game changer because it’s 3 in 1 ! Like you’re literally saving money if you purchase 3 different units separately! I love it that’s space saving and runs smooth and quietly! Since I purchased this, has help with my stuffiness’s at night! It’s like a heat that’s very comfortable and not like the regular heaters that either get too hot and uncomfortable! The fan also feels nice. This is not AC so don’t expect that. But definitely does what it claims it does. I never love a fan that spins and circulate air with the dust in a house. This uniquely invented together it’s what makes the difference in the air in a home… you can use the heat or fan while cleaning and purifying the air your breathing… ain’t that awesome!!!! I will be purchasing another soon! I have 2 purifier from a nice brand but this it’s better for saving space and nice if you have kids since it’s blades! I own a Dyson vacuum and it’s amazing too! I will also purchase the dryer too eventually!

Can't run constantly - has to heat or cool

This purifier required me to either heat or cool in order to have the fan running. This seems like a very poor way to purify the air, because if I don’t have it heating or cooling my room, it won’t turn on and get dust out and such. I wanted something constantly running, and there was no option for this. I called their customer service, and was not really given a satisfactory answer. They didn’t understand what I was asking for, and had a lot of trouble trying to explain that I was just looking for it to have a setting to have the fan on, without needing to change the air temperature. There is a sort of thermostat setting where you set the temperature, then when it stops heating or cooling (and you have to switch modes for heat or cool), it goes into standby mode for the fan blowing air once it reaches the temperature of the room. Will be returning, as I wanted something to run constantly.

Didn't realize I was mostly getting an air purifier with a fan and a little heat. My brother has a couple of small little space heaters ($50-$100) and they do a fine job heating up his much bigger area. So when I invested in the $500 one to use to heat my much smaller area I had big expectations.

Overall a really good product!

I have frequently used this since I got it. Everyday! There is nothing wrong advertised with the product but I would wish that the cool fan could be bit cooler. The cooling power is really strong and it can be used on a medium setting to also get the super quiet experience, which is great over night.

I had previously purchased the Dyson Purifier Cool TP07 and wish I would have know about the Dyson Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 Purifier sooner. This thing is awesome! It allows me to heat or cool the room and purify. It covers a large range, as I use this in the primary bedroom, which has the main bed area and a living room. I wish I can trade in my previous Dyson for this one. I also appreciate the height, so when in use, the hot/cold air is not directly in your face. It also come with an auto setting, which helps regulates and maintain the set temperature for the room. I like the tilt feature and the rotation option. I can truly go on and on about how great this "little package is that packs a big punch". All it needs is a humidifier option added. All in all, great buy!

[Rewarded Review] Unmistakably Dyson

It only takes one glance to know when you’re looking at a Dyson product. Their designs are unique and they carry a reputation for quality and efficacy. The Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 is no different. Is it expensive? Yes. Might it be over-engineered? Mmm, yeah, probably. Could you just buy a fan or space heater or an air purifier? Sure. But will you find all three combined in a better setup than this? I personally don’t think so! We keep ours in our master bedroom. I love knowing that the air we breathe while we’re sleeping is being purified. Where we live, we are also descending rapidly into winter with temperatures consistently in the 30s. We’ve even had snow already...disgusting. We try very hard to keep our home thermostat set low, so we use the heating function of our Dyson to keep our bedroom at a little more reasonable temperature. My hope is this offsets our furnace fan’s electricity usage. The unit itself heats up quickly and only takes a few additional minutes to maintain 72 Fahrenheit. It’s also quiet and has yet to wake me, my husband, or our Beagle up in the night. The small LCD displays everything you need to know, including modes, set temperature, and air quality. The remote magnetically attaches to the top of the unit itself, which hopefully ensures it never gets lost. That’s a great touch. Dyson does have an app, but it’s only really good for registering products for warranty purposes. At this price point, I think it would have been nice to have app controls. Instead, the remote alone is used for everything. My only other gripe about this machine is one I was well aware of, that being the fact that the HEPA filter needs to be replaced annually. They are a bit costly at $79.99 on Best Buy’s website currently, but are also high quality. I suppose it’s another case of getting what you pay for. The Dyson Hot+Cool Purifier is a product I’ve wanted for some time. I’m happy to say it was worth waiting for and I’m super happy to have one now!

[Rewarded Review] An overall good air machine dependent on a remote!

Dyson has been making bladeless fans for some time now, and as they matured, evolved into devices that also included heat, and in the case of the Dyson Purifier heat+ cool (model hp10), also has added air filtration as well. It’s a mid-sized model, measuring at just barely over 30 inches tall, by just under 10 inches wide and deep, so you can place it on a floor, but also on a shorter table if you need to as well. The power cord is almost 6 feet long. Unfortunately, mine came with no setup instructions or any instructions on how to use the remote. The model wasn’t listed yet on the general Dyson site, but some search engine digging did pull up a PDF user manual for it. I would have loved an old fashioned user manual in the box, even if a basic one.

The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 is a stunning addition to any room (even if color clashing). This is not my first Dyson product, having a vacuum and hairdryer, and I have always had interest in their fan technology since release. The Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 HP10 makes the wait well worth it. Being equipped as a year-round purifier with the ability to both heat or cool a room is next level. Unboxing the HP10 was quick. The product is already in one piece with the 2-180 degree filters attached. There is a simplistic sticker showing product start (plug in and hit power) and from there you are able to simply control the fan with the included remote. The remote is a nice size, small and compact but not small enough it is easily lost. Power may be togged from here, hot versus cold setting (or auto), fan speed and display may be adjusted.

This is my second Dyson unit. I also have the Dyson Hot+Cold Formaldehyde HP 09 That I’ve had for about two years and just absolutely love it. We have that one in our master bedroom bathroom and use it to heat up the room in the morning as we get ready for work! I also have a few other brands throughout the house in each room. But none compare to Dyson in quality and performance!! Clean air is so important to me and once you see all the particles in the filters….how on earth could you not want to have the best air cleaners running in your house!!! We spend so much time in our houses!

[Rewarded Review] Offset A/C or Furnace in shoulder seasons

Usually I am not a big fan of multiple devices in one machine. Usually 1 of the 3 gives out and makes the whole thing useless. Dyson just makes such clean devices and the extended 2 year warranty puts my mind a little more at ease. Its still early trying this new Gen 1 Hot + Cold air purifier. So far it seems like a keeper. Recently temps went back up for a bit of Indian Summer this fall here in Ohio. We did have two 40 degree days to try the heater and its a very pleasant warmth coming out the fan vent. The heat is not overly hot to worry too much about things close by being in danger (do be aware though). Plenty warm to quickly take the chill out of the air. It might not be enough if you have high vaulted ceilings or larger rooms without continuous running. It does tip back on its stand so you can angle air up to get a little help from a ceiling fan to distribute that heat even quicker. The remote and digital display are extremely easy to see, understand and set. Ten fan speeds to get the amount of air or quite fan breeze for any situation. Big plus is the varied option to oscillate nearly (45/90/180/350 degree) full circle is very nice if you have the ability to place near the center of a room. I have yet to see it try to clean the air in our house as hard as another air cleaner we have. But, we did place this air purifier farther from the kitchen that is a bigger source for pollutants in our house.
