Toilet incomplete
This toilet does not come with a toilet seat. A toilet that costs nearly $800 should come with a seat. Instead you get soaked for another $80 and it has to be special ordered. So now we have a toilet without a seat while we wait.
This toilet did not work for me. Since it was a skirted style, the base was much wider than the toilet I was replacing. It covered where the water supply line came through the floor, and it would have required a plumbing change that would have been expensive.
Flush is average at best.
I’m a plumber of 40 plus years. I have used mostly Kohler products over the years. This toilet is a good quality product, but average flushing at best. I will not buy another. I just hope the “ nonstick feature” works against my hard water. I bought a Kohler Cimmaron for my hall bath, and it flushes much better and was less than half the cost. The Corbel is easier to clean though, with the skirted trap way. Not Kohlers best work.
Keeps running, and very low water level in bowl.
The flush valve is housed inside a plastic chamber and is tenuously attached to the base of the toilet, so it is super easy to have it keel over. The adjustment to have enough water in your bowl is carefully balanced with keeping enough water in the tank to not make the toilet run constantly. That is a perplexingly poor design. And it is a huge headache. And getting my money back from Kohler was a huge pain, they threw every hurdle at me. This is not a high-end brand like they used to be.
Loud flush
I purchased this toilet based on reviews. I have a Kohler Persuade toilet in our powder room. For our primary bathroom remodel I thought I would purchase a top rated Kohler toilet expecting to like it just as much. I am so disappointed. It is super loud and takes long time to fill. It is not optimum to have a loud toilet next to our bedroom. Any late night trips to the bathroom wakes the other person up. I also do not like the knob needs to be pulled up to flush. Lastly, I purchased the recommended toilet seat and lid not realizing they are cheap plastic and not a slow close lid. I am so disappointed. The positive of the toilet are the height and the one piece desing. The tank lid looks
Very good toilet, but with installation difficulty
No written installation instructions included. Only pictures that were not very clear. Additionally, taping was required to hold the receiving nuts in place for installing the long anchoring bolts. Lastly, one of the long bolts was missing in the hardware pkg for one of the two units that were bought.
Self cleaning doesn’t work
I build a house and finished it in October 2022. We picked out 4 of the Corbelle Toilets. I started noticing a brownish tint to the water. I thought the tabs had just ran out or the batteries died. I open the lift compartment where the tabs go and found it full of a rust grimish color junk inside the plastic lid for the tabs..All 4 of them had this. The tabs were still inside with the rust stuff. All of the toilets had good batteries as well. Waste of money now I’m stuck
A Piece of Crap
I was really excited about this product. Unfortunately it cannot flush a normal "load." Tried to adjust the water flow in the tank as it seemed a little low and now it runs when flushed and I have to take the lid off to stop to water flow. What a PITA. I will probably replace the tank with the one from my old toilet. Good thing I have a bidet and don't need to worry about it flushing toilet paper! Considering the price, this should work as described. Very dissapointed.
Not as good as all the hype
Installed 3 years ago. Seemed over-priced. Check the wall clearance. There's an annoying drip sound for a few minutes after every use- no apparent leak. Now there's a ring at the bowl fill line and some buildup that resists scrubbing, so the coating technology that prevents this isn't working. For the last year the flush has less power: I usually have to flush twice and/or pour in an extra half gallon (for feces). Cannot adjust the power-flush piston. I wouldn't recommend this model.
Overpriced
Bought this toilet for the skirted feature. It's beautiful. Unfortunately, it has to be flushed multiple times. The bowl fills with only a small amount of water, which doesn't clear everything away. In addition, it does not come with a seat. The Kohler recommended seat adds another $100+ to the total cost! Wish I had purchased a different toilet.
I bought three of these beauties one for each bathroom. I wanted the easy to clean toilet with the cool power wash basin. I am the only female in the house and I’m so over cleaning toilets that the boys use!! These are going in the remodel and I can’t wait to use them. The builder did let out a big ugh when I showed him the toilets. I guess they are a pain to install. I don’t care…I let out an ugh every time I have to clean the other kind! I will post pictures of all when they get my house done.
Looks aren't Everything
We bought 4 Corbelle toilets for bathroom renovations. 3 were recently installed ( 2 weeks or so ago) with the 4th to be installed in a few weeks. However, during each use of the toilet it starts to trickle and then stops. It sounds like a leak but no leak can be found. It's very unsettling to hear and experience this. And, this trickling sound occurs on all 3 toilets. I contacted customer service who without explanation for reason why this is happening, or replacement installation instructions are sending 3 not 4 new trapway service kit, plastic. I am not even sure that this will fix the problem. My level of confidence in the quality and functionality of Kohler products is now shaken.
this Toilet really works great
Installed one of these a few months ago and loved it so much we bought a second one for our other bathroom. These things almost never plug. Only one complaint, the installation directions are a bit too cryptic. In the second box where the "t" bolts are installed and below the slash you see something being installed to the black plastic item. Turns out this is the Wax seal which is not provided with the toilet. Would be great if a notation was added stating that its the wax seal and that it is not included. Spent a while scratching my head as to what I needed to do with this instruction.
Looks nice but...don't buy yet
Love the look of this toilet and the 360 revolution flush and the flat sides for cleaning. (I have another model with the 360 flush and LOVE it) But this style has design flaws with handle on the side, flushing mechanism gets hitched occasionally and the chain gets tangled on itself at the top so that it will not close and the water continuously runs until you open it and adjust it. I put this toilet in my office and now the top is cracked because of clients always taking lid off to fix the water running. Plus it came with the original handle missing. I would wait to buy until they fix the design flaw
Toilet came damaged…3 times
We picked up this toilet at Lowe’s. Opened the box and a chunk was missing from the back of the bowl. Reordered for delivery, opened the outer box and found the inner box with a gash and the toilet broken in the same spot as the first. Reordered a third time, toilet was damaged yet again in the same spot. Toilet comes factory sealed with no padding at all around the bowl. Lowe’s needs to get in contact with Kohler regarding this issue.
Kohler bad
When received inspected, big chunks porcelain in trapway, sealed in the glaze. Kohler = bad quality control. Returned it. Reordered. 2nd came, poop stains, & blue stains plumbers use to test cracks or leaks. Home Depot manager agreed. Returned. Gave up! Bought cheap Kohler Highline Arc toilet, didn't flush, had to get new generic parts and fix it. Buy Toto instead.
Gasket inside the tank leaked
I bought two of the toilets and unfortunately the gasket inside the tank on the toilet wasn't installed correctly from the manufacturer and didn't completely seal. Because of this we had a small unnoticeable leak until we noticed brown spots on our sealing. Called a plumber and he found the leak and fixed the seal and then said the seal was over tighten in the tank by Kohler which caused a gap in the seal and a small leak. It was 200 dollars for the plumber and a painter is saying to repair the ceiling after fixing the water dripped from will be 1200 to 1400 dollars.
Great product, poor instructions
Fitting the 2 piece unit together was a problem. The individual rubber grommets/seals would not stay in place long enough to tighten the screws. The seal process needs to be improved. The instructions were weak, and nowhere were we informed we needed to buy a wax ring or suitable substitute. The website made it very clear to buy a new supply line and a new seat. But nothing on the the wax ring/rubber seal. NADA. Unacceptable for selling to a dyi first-timer.
readylock system failed
We've had this toilet two years (replaced an american standard champion 4 max toilet whose tank spontaneously cracked on mothers day 2019 and flooded the kitchen ceiling below). We've been very pleased with it until this morning when we had a repeat of two years ago, water pouring through the ceiling below on a smaller scale. This evening I pulled the toilet and found a crack in the rubber gasket/ flange that connects the rough-in full skirt trap system to the toilet bowl. Water was pouring out of the crack with every flush. The toilet was properly mounted and shimmed with absolutely no wiggle to it, it was a spontaneous fail. I'm beginning to think my master bathroom is cursed. I know what I'm doing, between my home and rental properties I own 11 toilets all of which I have replaced within the last 8 years. No problems with any except the two mentioned above and they were major fails not a worn out flapper or bound up chain. What a disappointment.
don't order a 14-inch rough-in toilet.
I purchased a 14-inch rough-in toilet because a 12-inch rough-in toilet would be too far from the back wall. The toilet came and a 14-inch rough-in adaptor also came in a seprate box. I hired a plumber to install the toilet. He installed the 14-inch rough-in adaptor and put the toilet bowl on top. the toilet installation holes did not line up with the clamps for the 14-inch rough-in. The bowl still lines up with the 12-inch rough-in adaptor kit. Not happy with Hohler and after spending extra money for a 14-inch rough-in toilet and to be sent a regular toilet was very disappointing.
