This light kit is not compatible with the Hunter Sea Air 52” 5 blade ceiling fan. Hunter technical support confirmed that these 2 products are listed as compatible but “ in fact, they may not be”. (!) My electrician has confirmed that they are not compatible.

This product is not of comparable quality or design to the fan (Mariner) it is supposed to fit. In fact it does not even fit the newly designed Mariner due to a change in the position of the fan switch.

White fixture is beige and does not match fan

Really low quality plastic junk that is beige in color and does not even come close to matching new hunter fan.

Difficult to install, looks and works well

Did not fit on the fan properly. I had to remove the fan speed adjustment fitting which obstructed the installation of the light kit. Also, the wiring on the fan has a quick connect, but the light kit has pigtails. Therefore, the wiring had to be modified. Otherwise, the light looks good and illuminates the area nicely.

Units (2) arrived with black marks on plastic outside housing and fixture seemed to be made of cheap plastic. Mounting on fan required adding additional gaskets, which were supplied but were not mentioned in any of the instructions. (Not adding the additional gaskets caused the light to mount very crooked, looking very poor).

I needed to drill the fan housing so that the light did not interfere with the fan pull chain. Also the attachment screws pulled through the light housing after a month or so of use. I needed to disassemble the light and add washers to the screws that attached to the fan.
