This bulkhead light worked for my needs - to be an attractive and protective light fixture in a storage room. However, if it were to be installed anywhere else, I would not have kept it. Here are the issues: The finish of the fixture is rough on the edges - cheap looking. The seal does not seal - so definitely not for outdoor use. The screws were powder coated in place with the fixture and had to be “broken” out.

The light sent to me is a close facsimile but not the exact match I needed. Note the location of the screws on the face. Home Depot needs to change the image to accurately represent the actual light.

Bigger than expected

One lightbulb means the bright spot is on one end of the light, making it a little lopsided. Also the base of the light adds a lot to the overall depth, making it bigger than I expected.

Nice quality with thick glass - die cast aluminum therefore will not rust. In addition to using 4-outside, we are also using two inside - one at the bottom of the finished basement steps due to the cage and heavier glass and one inside the Bilco door leading to the outside..

Looks neat and tidy

The house had a shower installed in the 1950s. They put a uncovered light fixture in the top of the stall wall to provide light to the bather. My electrician said that we could install a outdoor/marine quality light to replace the highly dangerous existing situation. I know the new light wasn't designed to be put in a shower - but it does the job and looks really good.

Great Quality and are very attractive

I purchased 9 of these when we first starting building our home. I was not sure how good the quality would be because the price was so affordable, but when they arrived I was more than pleased. The are all metal and have a great watertight seal. I have placed them around my pool area and on several walls to light staircases. They are very bright for being so small. Love them!

Functional, but small

A nice litle fixture. I purchased 4 for my shop. Only drawback is, with the government-forced switch from incandescent to compact flourescents, the standard 75W equivalent flourescent will not fit (too long). Must use smaller bulbs.
