Perfect replacements

I needed some replacements and these are of better quality than my originals.

These bowls are not very deep. I was hoping for a bowl that holds more. Otherwise, the quality is good.

Love Italian Countryside dinnerware! You usually can note buy the rimmed soup separately so when I saw them and they were on sale I bought! This set has SOLVED my black marks made by silverware! Italian Countryside does NOT get silverware marks!

Just As Expected

I had read reviews about issues with the glaze and the design around the edging, but the items we received were perfect and perfectly match the original set we purchased almost a decade ago!

Hubby's Favorite Bowl.

We prefer the rimmed soup bowl for soups. The soup/cereal bowl is OK for cereal and heavier stews and chilis though hot foods take longer to cool in the deeper bowls.

Not to our standards

The rim is a bit large in proportion to the bowl size. The material and glaze do not match other items in the pattern and they do not stack well. We would not purchase Mikasa again.

Love These

We love these bowls and use them for much more than soup. They are actually perfect for pasta and stews. My only complaint is that they chip pretty easily.

Mikasa Quality ! Love this Italian Country Side

I wanted to try the soup bowls and this bone color matches the whole set as I hoped.... Great, I have used Mikasa since 1990.

ok but no great

bowls had blemishes in glazing on bottom. interior of bowl not as large/wide as I thought it would be. would be nice to have interior dimensions on these type of bowls.

Blemishes on all bowls

We ordered 12 Rim Soup Bowls and everyone of them had small blemishes on them. All of the had some on the outside and several had some on the inside. Mikasa wanted photos but it is impossible to spot a small blemish on an off white bowl. If these bowls were purchased at T.J. Maxx or some other over-goods store at a reduced price, I may not think much of the issue.

Variety of uses

I have greatly enjoyed using these rimmed soup bowls, not only for soups and gumbos, but also for pasta. Because I have the larger 11 inch rimmed pasta bowls (no longer sold), I use the larger ones for the gentlemen and the smaller 9 1/2 inch for the ladies. It is the perfect size for a large variety of meals, for chili, gumbo, soups and pastas.

It is so pretty and goes with any color decor.

I really like every piece of this set. The large soup bowl with raised rim. I use it for soup, pasta and stews. I usually like a mug for coffee or tea. This cup and saucer is large enough to keep in theme. I use it everyday and am very glad I purchased this set.

Size was a pleasant surprise - quite large.

These rim soup bowls can do double duty - soup, of course, but also pasta bowl. I like the wide rim - you can put a piece of roll there - handy to dip. I know my guests will make a comment.
