Sturdy well made solid wood bed!

Just okay

We bought 2 of these beds for our kiddos roughly 2 years ago. The quality is similar to IKEA in my opinion. I thought based upon reviews and pricing it would be a slight step above, but that’s not the case.

Really disappointed to find particleboard used on the drawer bottom. This was advertised as solid wood.

Very disappointed to find that this bed, even though advertised as solid wood, has huge particle board panels for the drawers. If I was okay with that, I would have spent half as much pretty much anywhere else.

We purchased this bed and are very happy with it. The drawers are very convenient. Exactly as pictured.

Misleading product listing

The product listing and photos give the impression that the storage drawers are part of the bed. The drawers are actually separate pieces that roll on the floor and are not attached to the bed. For the large price differential as compared to the bed without storage drawers I expected more than rolling storage that I could’ve gotten anywhere.

Absolutely love the bed structure and durability. The drawers are deep and can actually go with the trundle bed. Love this for my boy!

A Beautiful Bed!

So happy with our purchase. It's a beautiful bed for our daughter with lovely heavy wood and was very easy for us to put together.

Good purchase

I hesitated and waffled on this purchase for nearly 6 months, reading reviews, asking moms groups and measuring and re-measuring. I was concerned about quality and that because they are made for kids, they would not grow with my 12-year-old. I'm pleased to say they are decent quality (sturdier than I expected) and the size doesn't look miniature, I think we can keep this bed throughout his high school years. We used an 8" mattress so it is a bit lower, you could use a 10' if you wanted a taller appearance - although I'm not sure that's what Max and Lily recommend. The construction takes time and two people but well worth it. I suggest purchasing the premium slat roll for peace of mind about its ability to hold up, as some reviews of Max and Lily products on Amazon showed beds that fell apart - have to wonder how they were built and used so take everything with a grain of salt. And, keep in mind, like any bed, it probably can't stand up to being used like a trampoline. But, I'm happy I finally purchased the bed and would do it again if I needed to!

Well constructed bed with great storage

Fantastic bed for my son and easy to assemble. The storage will come in so handy and being divided into two separate containers makes it easier for him to manuever. The blue is a rich navy; we paired it with gray nightstands and it looks great.

Amazing quality. We love this bed. The mattress is a dream with just the right firmness for our little boy. This was his first big boy bed and we all love it. The quality is very high. The paint, wood, and attachments are high end. It's sturdy and should last him his whole childhood. Would definitely purchase and recommend this bed and mattress.

The bed was well packaged and shipped quickly. It was easy to put together and looks beautiful now that it is in the room. The drawers are spacious.

Super pleased with the bed

Super pleased with the bed and quality, however my drawers arrived damaged. I have messaged customer support and response is slow, but I know it’s the holidays. I would still reorder from this site and recommend to others. A company can’t prevent something from being damaged upon arrival.
