The counter sinks that are provided don’t work. The nail heads pull through the predrilled bracket holes. I had to find a screw with a larger head to make it work. Besides, the nails are a very poor way to expand the counter sink in the wall.

Brackets broke within a few weeks

The small slips that you mount into to the wall are made of plastic and didn't last a month before started breaking and the entire shelf fell off the wall. I had a few light weight boxes of cleaning supplies like mop pads and duster refills, plus some junk towels, so it wasn't the weight but he cheaply made plastic part just broke right off at the wall. The nail stayed in the wall. Just spend the extra money and use the wall system for these shelves.

Nice shelf, poor directions

The shelf is well made and serves the purpose. It cannot hold very heavy items, check the description. I only gave it 4 stars because the directions are poor. There are written and pictorial directions. The first part was easy, however when putting on the struts that hold up the front of the shelf the directions failed to mention that the end of the bracket needs to be bent to hold onto the shelf. Luckily my handyman put the shelf up and he figured this out immediately. I don't know if this was a problem just with my shelf or with all the front brackets. Once the ends were bent to fit around the shelf wire it worked fine.
