Easy Assembly.

Just what I was looking for. And the price was right. Easy to put together. Surprised that the seat back isn't firmly attached to the posts as it just slides on and sits there. Good thing the chair is not something I'll pick up by the seat back.

I really like this chair. It is comfortable. And the color is very bright. I Use it at my craft table. It’s perfect. And it is easy to assemble.

Nice height range, but...

It serves the purpose for me because I needed more height. The back rest only comes to the bottom of my rib cage and I'm a short woman. The seat is ample and comfortable. It's cute, easy to assemble-5 screws and an Allen wrench, no written instructions, just a picture showing where the parts go. Took about 15 minutes. Tip: go by pic#2 in the middle, makes more sense than pic #1. I started from the bottom and worked my assembly upward.

Broke in 4.5 months

This stool snapped nearly right in half after 4.5 months of being in my office. Both myself and a sharp chunk of plastic went flying. The chair now has a sharp piece of plastic sticking straight up from the seat. It is completely unusable. I am 180 pounds, the chair is rated for "250". Thank god my child wasn't using it. Unsafe and a complete waste of money!

Negative. Why does the chair not go down?

Chair goes up but does it not go down. Now it is even a headache to ship it back because it has expanded by several inches. Also, the assembly manual mentions about a Part called I (capital i): M5*1 PC. But it never tells you where this part goes. Why was this assembly part sent? Where does it go? It is just sad that a manufacturer would spend so much money in making a product, but then tries to act cheap and try to save money by not giving details on how the product has to be assembled. We just have to ship it back. What a waste of time for the buyer and waste of money for the seller.

Perfect kitchen accessory!

It was very easy to put together, with only the five screws needed for the seat (and the allen wrench needed was included) The height is easily adjustible cover any height I would need and being able to swivel is a bonus. I like the bright red colorl It is just what I needed for my kitcen. With my bad back I can't stand long enough to cook or do dishes. But I can adjust the height and pull this stool right up to the stove or sink and sit comfortably. The only improvement I can thinkof is making part of the seat texture (it's slippery to get on when it's at the highest height).

Comfortable with great height adjustments!

I am one who doesn't like the arm rests on chairs because they tend to get in my way while I am reaching for various things around me so that is really nice. Because this chair does not have arm rests, it also slides very neatly under my desk! The color is awesome - my favorite color and is a fun pop to bring me energy to get some work accomplished. The foot rest is great. I chose this chair because of the range of motion it has, as I move around a lot at work with a travelling desk so at home I like to do the same between sitting, high sitting, and standing. This chair provides it all! :) I do not lean back on my chairs much either (because I shift my position frequently!) so the seat helps me to maintain good posture, no matter what height I am at! The chair does not have wheels, but slides really well across my mat, and being up higher, wheels would be a danger with how much I transfer, shift, and lean. Thanks for a great chair!

The item shipped quickly and looks amazing. Unfortunately, after a week of use, the tension stopped working and I sink in the chair and have to re-elevate it constantly. I weigh 150 lbs so I am well within the weight limit. Disappointed in its performance, especially when the cost was more than the cheaper brands, which I expected to have this issue... I will not purchase any more and I am glad I tested one before buying a set.

Stool

The drafting stool is a beautiful color (wine/red) but is very lightweight and plastic so will need to be handled carefully. The first stool I received came with a damaged plug for the bottom of chair. Company stood behind product and they are sending me a completely new item even though I only wanted the replacement part. I am writing this review prior to receiving second stool. At this time we have not been able to sit on chair to see how comfortable it is. It was ordered mainly for looks and to be used only for sitting for brief periods of time.

Perfect!

I absolutely love my blue adjustable height tractor seat drafting chair. My only complaint is that I wish it had wheels. I use it at my custom craft table which is approximately 34" high and this chair is the perfect height for me to sit comfortably at my table. It also easily adjusts to standard table height seating. I've had several tail bone injuries and am very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the seat is.. assembly was rather easy, taking less than 15 minutes (including the time it took me to find the misplaced Allen wrench lol) =] I LOVE my tractor seat craft chair!!

Pretty poor

I was looking to use this item for a standing desk. I was very disappointed that when I sat on the seat it would lower by ~4 inches. I weight 195lbs. It seams that the cylinder that supports the weight of the user is weak from the start... I can only imagine that this will get worse with time.

A great value for the money

An affordable but proper drafting stool is almost impossible to find outside of antique furniture stores and flea markets. This one fits the bill, however. It assembled easily: if you need instructions to put this together on your own, you have no business being near a drafting board or CAD environment :>). The overall design and comfort level is admirable, just the ticket for long hours crafting blueprints and cranking out cost estimates on the ten-key. I would have preferred the foot rest ring to be anchored but I see the logic of it being free-rotating too. Thanks, Quill and Belnick!

Not for everyone.

Okay, I received this chair. The 4 star review is for the chair initial quality but for personal preference I give it a 1 star no fault of the chair pesonal reasons included.

Not great

This chair looks cute but isn't as functional as I expected. It only came with four screws rather than the five it needed to support the back. The back was very flimsy and I ended up taking it off b/c I was afraid I would fall off! I have a stand up desk and just wanted something simple to use periodically. It doesn't come w/ wheels so moving it on carpet is a pain b/c the pole that adjusts the seat up and down is greasy so you have to drag it by the seat. It was very easy to put together aside from the missing screws, but the instructions could have used a few words to explain how to move the seat up and down. Once I figured out how to raise the seat I am no longer able to move it down. It will do for awhile but I am sure I will end up buying something more sturdy and moving this to my garage.

Cute Stool!

If you'd told me it took 5 screws (and less than 5 minutes) to put this stool together, i wouldn't have believed you. Super easy to assemble but has some weight to it which makes it feel more expensive. The tractor seat and the bright chrome frame make a fun design, along with the bright color choices. Although i've only had this product for about a week, i suspect it may last longer than most inexpensive furniture. Some reviewers said the back rest has a tendency to crack but i purchased the stool to use while i work in my wood shop so i doubt i'll be sitting back much. Another reviewer mentioned that the stool is too high for her/him to comfortably reach the foot rest, but the height is adjustable so that works for me since i'm not tall either. Only one small complaint: depending on what you are wearing, you can too easily slip off the seat because of the high-gloss finish of the plastic.

Great (and durable) for kids!!!

I bought 2 of these for my twin daughters' art tables. These things are perfect mainly because after 10 months they show zero signs of markers, crayons or paint because the hard plastic is impossible to write on and paint just wipes right off. Putting them together took about 15 minutes in total and was completely easy. They're light enough for a 6 year old to drag from one place to another (I didn't get the ones with wheels because that would have been a rolling disaster on our hardwood floors). I've been so impressed with these chairs I actually just placed an order for a third for our youngest. The only downside is that the hydraulic lift requires quite a bit of weight to move the chair up or down so when one of the kids needs a height adjustment I'm usually the one who has to do it. If you're looking for comfortable grown-up chairs for your home bar, look elsewhere because these things are rock hard and the seats are slightly slippery. But if you're looking for something that kids can't destroy and will last long enough for them to take them to college, this chair fits the bill.
