I tried hooking this up as a kitchen light and I set it up as a 5hr timer from dusk. It would turn on seeing as it was dark, then it would detect its own light as daylight and shut off a few seconds later, then see it's dark and turn on a few seconds later, and repeat. It didn't even wait 5 hours to turn off, just an endless loop of turning on and off every few seconds.

Easy to control the coach light on my garage from inside my house! This can be used as an automatic turn on at dusk plus the run time that you choose. It also can work as a remote control switch mounted on your wall inside the house. Love it.

Does not work. Strobes on and off at 5-second intervals if room is dark OR if photocell is completely covered, so it's not just a reflected light issue. Remote works but if I wanted a remote control only I would have bought a remote control only.

I Love this product, it has a timer and a great siaze remote, I just press the button and BINGO it works I dont have to point it or lift it up I just leave it on the desk and hit the button and it works, usally you have to pick it up and point it. I would recommend this to EVERYONE :)

The remote would not program to the light. All the light would just flash on and off. The switch to set the hours on and off couldn’t be turned from one hour setting to another.

I had difficulty getting it to fit in many lamps...

I had difficulty getting it to fit in many lamps with a lamp shade. When I finally moved lamps around, the light would come on during the day and not at dusk. We had to remove it and use a timer.
