Everything went well, ordering, delivery, the look and even install, but the reason I'm giving only 3-Stars is I'm very disappointed in how little air the fan actually moves especially for how much it cost. I bought 3 other fans for the total of this one and all 3 of them move much more air than this one. If you don't like a lot of air movement from your fan, then this is a very nice looking and seemingly flawless operating option for you. I just prefer much more air flow from my ceiling fan. I'd return it but I've already had it installed and the cost to take it down and ship it back aren't worth it.

Sleek, beautiful and very quiet! Fantastic fan! Install normal amount of effort. Technology and phone app very easy to follow and use! Very convenient having a remote and phone app to control light levels and fan speed levels.

This is my 7th Modern Forms fan and my 5th Zephyr. Love Modern Forms fans! Stylish, quiet, energy efficient and easy to control with the mobile app from anywhere. Arrived in one day and at a great price (and I shopped around extensively). Highly recommend the products and 1STOPLighting!

Beautiful, quiet, but very low top speed and poor air movement

I waited a full year to make sure, but it's a very disappointing fan. CFM is the number that people look to for measuring a fan's power, but (particularly with an exterior fan) that's much less useful than speed, and the top speed on this fan is very, very low (there's now way it's moving the CFM claimed). If you're in the narrow band where you can feel the air, it's pleasant, but otherwise ineffective. There's also a significant delay between when you press the buttons and it actually activates. There are some pros -- it's beautiful, quiet, no wobbling, gives enough light -- but it doesn't do the one thing it's supposed to do.

Doesn't Blow

The installation was pretty standard. No surprises. At the end it looks great. The iOS app works. The shocking part is that his fan does not move air. I have the fan up to full and there are the empty plastic bags 8 feet under the fan and the plastic bags don't move. I read other reviews that said this and I thought that they had the fan rotating the wrong direction. No, I tried both directions and there was no difference. Bought 2 and will return the unopened one. Bummed.

Cool fan!

I bought this fan for the bathroom and the 52" blade size is perfect, It looks a lot more expense than what I paid for it. Beautiful stained finish on the blades. Glad it also came with a light kit. I get compliments on the fan. I've had it for about a year and it works great!

Eye catching, the wood is beautiful, and the angle of the fan blades are different.

I had lights changed out throughout the first floor (open concept) before moving in. The two fans in my family room are beautiful. They make my furniture and accessories pop. Love the remotes. My only negative would be, that the light is not bright.

Loved it until it stopped working!

Update 12-26-22: Customer Service Tech sent us a new receiver and walked me through resetting it and the fan has been working ever since. Great technician, good communication...we are very happy with the fan now so I thought I should rerate it from a 1 star to a 4. I'm rating a 4 because of the inconvenience, but am now verry pleased with it. Update 7-6-21: The fan stopped working! Our electrician said motor is defective. We're so disappointed as we really loved the fan. Still waiting for a call back from their customer service to see what they'll do. 1-7-21: We love our fan! It looks exactly like the ad. It's a bit more complicated installing as the blades are somewhat awkward...need 2 people to make it easier. I wanted to have it blend in with my white 9 ft. ceiling so it wasn't the focal point of my bedroom, so I bought the white fan. It blended in perfectly. It is almost non-existent quiet and provides the right amount of airflow. I've had many compliments on it.

Looks good

This fan looks really nice, but there is something going on where there is a long delay before the light comes on. It doesn't appear to be an electrical issue. Our contractor said this can happen with fans that use remotes. I will return it and get another one because like I mentioned it does look really nice. Will update to 5 stars if we can fix it.

Wonderful choice!!

We love this ceiling fan! It’s quiet and looks great! The color is exactly as pictured and the light is bright and lights up the whole room. A big difference from the ceiling fan I had previously. It was easy to assemble and install. There’s nothing I don’t like about it and would recommend purchasing this fan.

Beautiful fan. I bought two. The first one the controller doesnt work. I switched out the battery and it drained in a day. The second fan the controller works but the led light on the fan never goes completely out when its off. It stays at 1% even though the app says its off. Only noticable at night. The first fan actually turns the light off when it says its off. It was such a pain to install that i didnt feel like asking for it to be fixed or replaced. But the light on in my bedroom is annoying.

I love this fan!

We have a pitched ceiling about 12' high and had a normal old fan with glass lights. We updated the the 62" Zephyr 3500 and it is beautiful and moves the air perfectly. WE pit a 24" down pole and the spacing works great. The electricians had no issues installing it and the complements are abundant. My daughter is going to get 3 for her newly purchased home. We have had it for almost exactly 1 year. My husband recently dropped the remote and now we can't turn it on. I'm having a problem getting ahold of Modern Forms to see if we can order another remote. The tab that holds the battery broke so we have to replace the remote. I can't wait to get it functioning again.

Nice Fan

Purchased last week and installed it this week. Seems to be well designed. Super quiet and powerful air flow. Description says that it includes a wall control. If you use the provided double sided tape to adhere the remote control bracket to the wall I guess you would have a wall control. Seems a bit deceptive to me. I like walking into a room and reaching for a light switch. A remote control magnetically attached to the wall isn't the same. I purchased the weathered wood and it is a bit greenish in tint. Looks better mounted and strange but it doesn't seem greenish once it has been hung. Overall I would recommend and purchase again.

Love the fan!

It went together pretty easy as I have a hubby who won’t read direction as he knows how to do everything! We actually put one in the entry and in the living room. They had to match and we used the light on the entry fan but not in the living room. They look very nice. Our house is Scandanavian design. I love that I could buy the fan in two sizes and with light or no light., it was pretty easy to assemble. It was balanced perfectly. The weathered wood is more green than brown but it looked great in my new house

I'm a FAN of this Fan!!

I can't say enough good things about this Fan. It is in my lanai (20 x10) and although 52 inches should be fine don't worry about going larger. But still very happy. The DC motor is not heard at all and the although the driftwood color is less grayish than I thought the greenish tinge looks fine at 10ft and the walls of a brown tone doesn't clash. Love that the light is there and doesn't overshadow the casual driftwood look of the fan style. You can always use the cap that matched the blades if you want too. The fan goes in reverse ands the fan has different speeds and the light also dims. Overstock never disappoints.

Love this fan. The only reason it's not a 5 is that it is not quite the grayish color I thought. So when you see the picture online just know it isn't as driftwoody.(if that is a word!) It has an a green tint to it. But don't be too disappointed because once it's up it doesn't look as plastic/ greenish as when you have it in your hands. My great room( minus the kitchen area) is 21ft x 18 with 10ft ceilings and I definitely could have gone larger than 62. As far as the fan function goes, it's great!. The DC motor really is quiet, the light can be dimmed or left off with a matching cap, and the fan reverses. Love how that light size doesn't overpower the look of the driftwoodish style.!! So glad I bought it even though again need to watch the budget.!

Modern Forms fan = pretty fan, poor quality

This fan never worked correctly. Modern Forms sent me a new part which only made the problem worse. It would work for a few minutes, beep loudly, and shut off. It would only restart if you did a factory reset. After waiting for weeks and unsatisfactory calls to both Modern Forms and Build.com, I finally got a return label because I called the Ferguson showroom and someone there helped me at last. Now I am waiting for a refund on the product. They refuse responsibility for the money I spent on multiple bills for installations, removal. It was a very bad experience which will not be over until I receive a refund.

Purchased 2 of the Modern Forms Zephyr fans for covered patio. Likely not to rust as the blades are plastic. Look great against the white, tongue-in-groove ceiling. The challenge is getting all the needed wires into the ceiling cover. The wiring includes the usual white (neutral), black (hot) and ground but also multiple wires from the separate receiver for the remote to control the fan. It was a challenge to put the cover over the wires. Easy to sync both handheld remotes to operate both fans so they respond in unison. Spoke with Modern Forms Tech Rep. to make sure it could be done. The Tech Rep was very help full. Explained the difference between the DC motors in this fan and the more conventional AC motor fans.

Great For Outdoor Area

Purchased 2 Modern Forms Zephyr fans for roofed lanai to replace 2 Minka fans that operated perfectly but were a bundle of rust. The Zephyr is mostly plastic so rust should not be an issue. Zephyrs have a DC motor so it is much quieter than the DC motor fans it replaced. The DC motor uses 70% less electricity and allows the fan to have more than 3 speeds.
