Run quickly away from this junk

This range is beautiful in form but AWFUL in function. The oven makes the worst incessant whistling noise while running that bores into your brain (imagine cooking a Christmas roast for 5 hours and having a constant high-pitched whistle the entire time). I was told the convection fan makes no noise but the cooling fan runs all the time and is awful. This is the opposite of every other oven on earth. The oven burns everything you make if you cook things on the temperature setting called for on the directions. Even if you turn the oven down, you still have to cook things several minutes less in the hopes it won't burn. Customer service said there is nothing that can be done about this. The stove burners only have two settings, hot and extremely hot making it impossible to simmer anything or cook something on low. I had to put 4 cups of water in a rice recipe that called for 3/4 cup to try to prevent it from burning. Also after the fact looking at reviews not on Lowe's, the finish on it is very temperamental and scratches and gets ruined very easily. This is by far the worst purchase we have ever made and we have owned 4 different gas ranges. I was drawn in by its beauty (I think these are made for people that don't actually cook anything) and now have to figure out how to get rid of it and recoup a little of our loses. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS JUNK.

Good News: The quality of the stove, the feel of it is amazing-it really is a beautiful piece. The top pieces are nice and heavy, excited about the grill, the gold knobs are bright and shiny, a bit brassy and I am sure would collect every greasy finger print it ever meets. The gold does not match the sample badges that I ordered previously (photo shows gold on top and bronze below). But to say I'm disappointed in the color is an understatement! Bad News: In person the color is more of a dark gray, smokey color-not in anyway black. I could not put it next to a black cabinet or countertop appliance and expect it to come close in color. Zline could do better with the photos it uses in its advertising of this range to avoid heartbreak like mine. After several calls and emails (and paying $* for the return shipping) it was picked up today. I luckily live in **** and the range went back to the Zline warehouse is in Reno, NV-if not I would have been hit with a very expensive cost to return it. I will be reordering another 48inch Zline Dual Fuel Range Autograph Edition, this time in stainless steel (I kicked around the idea of white, but I'm a little gun shy with the colors now) and I'll go with the champange bronze knobs.
