This is exactly what you need to extend your faucet handle if it is too far into the wall. I had to oppostie problem where mine was too far out. I was able to use it anyway to cover the rest of the hnadle.

Instead of buying this, just trim off a 1/4" of the white plastic part, and the handle will sit flush with the collar.

I was only needing the silver cover part, but it worked perfectly! Good quality too!

The previous owner installed the shower handles and did not place them back far enough. This did the trick to fix the gap between the handle and the wall.
