This is a solid unit and made with tolerances consistent with what you'd expect for a screen door latch. All necessary hardware for install was included. Operation is smooth and the latch works well. Includes a locking mechanism. Ordered online and had it in just a few days. Replaced the existing unit simply because it was soooo old.

Works well after the removal of old push button latch and some modifications to the screen door itself.

Cheap

It is a cheaply made, overpriced product. Spring to return inner handle is very week.

With a slight adjustment from my son-in-law, it fit our older screen door perfectly.

Handle hard to turn and gets stuck

Needed a little oil.

Perfect replacement and fit for the old latch. It was very tight to turn, so I had to oil the mechanism before it would return to center position and latch the door. Now it works very well. I can not understand why the black finish one is about twice as expensive as this silver one. I would have preferred black.

Looks like a left handed out swing door, but doesn't say so, none of these sets specify left or right handedness while images are sometimes inverted

No I was unable to use this on my door. I had to return it and ordered a different style that was more expensive. Still cannot understand why costs so much more but it did work on my door.

Cost effective solution

Used this item on an old door whose handle has been missing for a long time. It was a close enough fit, though we made a few minor updates to our door. The lock function works well-provides added security at night. The door looks so much better, and I can't believe the bang for the buck.

Just what I was looking for!

I needed a replacement for the door knob latch on a heavily-used door, and initially tried a similar unit stocked by a local retailer—which broke almost immediately after installation. That was the only door knob latch I was able to find locally, sized to fit my door's thickness. I could have special ordered this more robust door knob latch from the same retailer, but would have had to wait at least 2 weeks for delivery, so I am thrilled to have been able to order it from Home Depot: it was delivered within just 2 or 3 days, and cost me about half as much as it would have if special ordered from the local retailer—and, best of all, the door knob latch was easily installed and is doing the job I need it to. Only shortcoming: the instructions were a bit weak.
