Exactly as described. Easy to install and doesn't make any sounds that can be heard over the hum of the sump pump. I replaced the old style ball valve that made a thud with this one. Very satisfied!

The cadillac of check valves
Great valve. Do not care about the quiet part. The benefit of this valve is three fold. First, it acts as a union allowing disassembly. 2nd it is clear so you can inspect the mechanism for function, 3rd because it comes apart it can to some extent be serviced if debris does impair function.
