This pergola is a relief during the bright, hot days in the south. The assembly was mostly easy, but the directions could have been a bit clearer (we had to take a few pieces off to change which way they faced for all the other installation of parts). It took about 3.5 hours for 2 people. Unfortunately, how it was packed, much of my legs and metal parts were scraped and warped. I had to do a bit of adjusting to make it all fit. I do like the design and the size, though. It has held up fairly well in rain and wind so far.

Thank you to Influenster and Backyard Expressions for giving me this pergola in exchange for my honest review. This 125 lb box showed up on my porch. It didn’t look like it could be everything, but it sure was heavy. Turns out companies are very good at packaging things in the least amount of space possible. I didn’t think that 9’ x 12’ sounded like a large size, but it is plenty big enough to hand out under or for the kids to get some fresh air but stay in the shade. When the box requires more than one person to lift, you know it’s going to take at least that many to put together. Luckily we have teenagers that are taller than me willing to help without too much trouble. For the price I think it is a good value. I think my family will enjoy the shade, but my flowers probably won’t enjoy the shade so much and might have to be replanted!

Found one of the legs was dented. Caps for the posts are not thick enough to cover screws and may lead to rusting. Additional allen wrench needed.

This is one of the better pergolas I’ve seen, having put together 6 different ones for various family members. The assembly instructions are really straightforward, but you definitely need 2-3 people ( I don’t recommend trying on your own)! With 2-3 people it shouldn’t take more than 1-2 hours to get this built. I haven’t had it go through any storms or high winds, but it feels incredibly sturdy and probably holds up well, although the instructions do say to take it down when not using (which I guess it has to for liability, but who disassembles a pergola on a routine basis?)

So excited we were able to get this pergola! It’s beautiful and looks so perfect in the yard. It’s definitely pretty heavy and it is so sturdy. Pretty easy to put together too. I love it with the canopy and without and love how the canopy is adjustable. It gives great shade. Would highly recommend. Helps transform your backyard into an even more special place to have fun and relax.

I’m very happy with the final result , it is really good looking and seems sturdy enough. The curtain looks resistant however the assembly process was a pain . Some steps in the booklet were illogical and there were some parts that could have come already assembled to save you some energy. It will take quiet some time to put together . That being said I like it
