Nice unit

Received unit quickly and installed myself. Seems to be great product and was fairly easy to install. Be sure and follow instructions. There is a FB page Mr Cool that will/can answer any questions you may have.

Ok unit wasnt a DIY

Would of liked for it to had been more clear that this wasn't the DIY version didn't notice it till I read some of the comments after I got it. Still figuring it out its aready cold here so don't know about the cooling but the heat is working tho the blower dosnt go to high and if I go higher the 75 the heat cuts off completely ill have to read up on the settings more sure that's got something to do with it. Also it was dented must of been dropped on its way don't think it was damaged unless that would affect the blower I doubt it

I've had this now since June 2019 and its works flawlessly. This is NOT the version with the pre charged lines, you'll have to bend and attach the copper yourself, which added *** to my costs since I messed it up the first few times. I had a complicated run but still its not completely self install friendly. The Wi-Fi integration with Google Home works great.

Simple solution to heat and ac

This is the second Mr Cool I have installed. What a great product, replaced a pellet stove which simply is too much work. (Storing pellets, filling the hopper, inconsistent heat control, purchasing and hauling the pellets)

Woman Cave Mini Split

Installed the 18k unit on my house garage, so my wife could have a temp controlled area to exercise in during the extreme cold winter months and also the extreme summer months. Unit came with everything but the line hide (purchased line hide at a local shop) The cassette was easy to install as was the condenser. I had an HVAC buddy cut the line to length, evacuate the line set, do a nitrogen test (pressure test to ensure no leaks) and then release the freon into the unit. I did the wiring (I own my own Electrical company). The unit is quite and very efficient. This is my second unit on my personal property, and I have installed 2 for customers. You buy one of these, you won't be disappointed!

S & D unit

Pictures are highly accurate. Straitened out the footings, back grill, and top of the outdoor condenser and it mounted to my concrete patio with no problems. Air handler mounted 16 feet away and had ample tubing but not so for comm cable. Even with a 3 week delivery it is up and running VERY quietly. The split replaces an Amana hotel type A/c unit in my Sun Room. If these folks can get their shipping/communications problems corrected I will order again

I would but this unit again!!

OK, so this system requires a little bit more than standard DIY knowledge, due to the fact that the lines are open to the air. On the other hand, I have a vacuum pump and gauges and know how to use them. I also installed the inside unit on an inside wall and ran the line set through a closet to the outside and down to the outside unit. Overall, a fairly decent manual for install and the system is working GREAT. I am using it to cool my smallish house easily. This winter it will supplement my wood stove. May buy a second unit for my garage.

Great product !!

I was able to save money buying this product over the DIY kit. I am a skilled tradesmen, but I feel most anyone that is handy with tools could do it. I did pay to have a HVAC technician do the start up. So he vacuumed the system prior to opening the lines and inspected my install. He gave the all clear and open the valves and we tested the system. It is whisper quiet! The system is working great. I bought this for my mother n law because her central AC system broke and the repair is too costly at this time. She lives in a retirement community modular home. The first day it was approximately 85 outside two days later it was a low of 40 degrees. The unit was able to maintain her space at 74 degrees so she is extremely happy. So am I !! great product

Excellent cooling and nice remote access

I bought and installed this unit myself. The install wasn't hard. The only extra step vs the DIY version is that you need to vacuum the line. The machine to do can be rented for free from Autozone. Performance wise it works pretty well. I installed this unit in my enclosed patio which is now our sun room with an open ceiling. The sq ft is about 410. In Texas summer it appears to cool fairly well. The unit seems to struggle with heating the room in very cold winters. Something I'm not too concerned about because there are not that many very cold days in Texas. The unit comes with a USB remote access that can be plugged into the main unit. This allows you to control the HVAC using a phone app. Comes in very handy when I need to heat or cool the room ahead of time.

Awesome Heat Pump

I installed myself 100%. Used Nylog sealant on the fittings and pulled vacuum and works like a charm! Super quiet inside and out. Was amazed to find out it only needed 12/2 wire and only 15amp breaker. Super fast shipping . Only time will tell how good this unit is. I also installed a surge protector to protect all the sensitive boards inside and compressor. Also note that I paid small amount more for MrCool than ebay units because they have parts on hand and they assured me if something happens they could have me part in no more than 2 days. These people are good to work with and highly recommend!!

I went with the Mini Split over the traditional HVAC system for our 1100 sq ft master bedroom. I was worried about the noise level being less then 8 feet away on a side wall but it's so quiet you do not even notice it on. If you need to have perfect quiet then just hit the sleep button and it goes in a very low speed which we can not even here running. As for over all performance it has yet to run above the low fan speed in auto setting and I am in Central Florida with highs in the mid 90's and very humid conditions. This unit is dumping out more moisture then my 5 ton unit. It's just me and the wife and I was trying to avoid cooling the entire house down at night to sleep. We love it! It took about 5 hours to install with two trips to the store to buy concrete anchors for the wall rack I bought. I had the vacuum pump already and I did cut back the copper line set to give it that custom look. I cant say one negative thing about this set up. We have not tried the heat setting yet but I am sure it will be fine around Christmas to get the morning chill out of the house.

Recently purchased a mini split that was discounted do to minimal damage , but when i received the unit it looked as if it was dropped kicked down 2 flights of stairs . the unit was damaged during shipment, although I did receive the unit and signed for it without double-checking it they were still very gracious to have the unit pick back up, and shipped me a new unit. When other companies would he use this as an out. They stepped up and made it a win-win would recommend them to anyone

I Now Own 3--

2 18K and 1 12K- happy with all three. I own and A frame with high ceilings and an open loft bedroom, real hard to keep the entire house comfortable with the central unit which, fortunately as it turns out, broke down and needed replacement. I replaced with 3 MrCool Advantage units and now I have comfort zones and cost was much less than replacing central unit.

Very sleek look. Wifi Enabled. Both the interior and exterior units are very quiet. This is an advanced level installation, as you need to run electrical, and vacuum the line set before running this. I had someone HVAC certified assist with the vacuum for warranty reasons. With knowledge and the right tools, I could have completed this part on my own as well.

MrCool and Ingram’s great product

I live in an old city row home. Where the first floor Living room and Kitchen are adjacent to each other. I was tired of my loud window unit, which was usually placed in Kitchen window and only kept Living room semi cool. I decided to purchase the 18k BTU MrCool mini split system. It was easy to install and I opted to save money and not purchase the DIY unit. I am so glad I chose this system, if you’re handy you can do it and save yourself the money. Not only is this unit higher SEER, it is also more affordable. I went ahead and ordered a vacuum pump and AC manifold gage set from Amazon and spent about $100 for set, still saving money compared to DIY unit.
