Installation went exactly as described in the instructions. Works beautifully and efficiently ... best part is it is incredibly quiet inside and the outside Condenser. very pleased with the choice.

Good unit but, considerations before purchase.

although the unit installed as predicted, and is working well. I cannot give it more than 3 stars or 2 reasons; 1. I paid for a Wi-Fi system mini split. Although the USB stick was in the package, the indoor unit is not fitted with a USB portal, 2. I have been two days trying to contact Mr. Cool customer service technician, and have not been able to make contact through their phone number, or by leaving a message. Have them call me back, this is unacceptable Customer service and Quality control packing issues.

Great value if you are handy

This is my 4th Mr. Cool minisplit installation. If you have some construction experience this is doable. Great systems.

Easy self-install and works great!

My daughter's room is the hottest in the house in the summer, and the coldest in the winter. She's over the garage. I decided to buy this, and although I am reasonably handy I thought I might have my son-in-law help me. Turns out, that wasn't needed and I had it done in a couple of hours. I did have help with the electrical connection, but that's it. My biggest concerns were drilling the 3" inch hole in the side of my house and messing up the installation of the pre-charged line-set, but the template for the drilling was great and the instructions were simple and confidence inspiring.

Too much humidity produced!

the very reason I need an extra bedroom unit is to cool down and reduce humidity due to menopause without freezing out the entire household. This PRODUCES humidity!

The Best DIY MIni-Split

Installation was really easy. If you do not like to read manuals, then head to youtube.com where MRCOOL has given influencers free units to walk through the installation process. I installed this in an office that I constructed in a corner of a steel building. The unit cools very well and is really quiet. I mean really quiet! You can be standing next to the indoor and even the outdoor unit and barely hear them.

Straightforward Install

I installed the 9000btu 115V unit. A friend helped with the electrical. Everything went smoothly with the install using MRCOOL videos I found on youtube. Unit is blowing cold and my wife is super happy to have environment control in her outbuilding now!!

Very Good, some room for improvement

At one week, we like it. Install is OK for a fairly handy person. Some quality issues: 1. My unit was missing one small black"functional" filter, 2. The protective tube through the wall is too short for a brick veneer house (it is just cheap plastic, make it 3" longer), 3. Operating instructions have 6 notations of "some units" on a single page (I still don't know which apply), 4. Third step of instructions for Smart USB controller says to open the box (which contains the instruction booklet).

Excellent choice for our cabin in Maine. Easy to install. Quiet.

MrCool 9000 BTU mini split in a small off grid cabin

9000BTU in an off grid 24X16 cabin with 2 lofts. Installation was pretty straightforward. Instructions were not always clear so recommend you read it twice before you install. The 25 foot lines for the refrigerant were way longer than needed. I now have over 15 feet of rolled up lines under the outside unit. I purchased an outside wall bracket to mount the outside unit, which worked well. Recommend you drill holes in the brackets to place the screws in to studs and not just the wall. Don't buy the line covers you can find them elsewhere for half the cost and with more components. Recommend you make a diagram of the wiring so you don't mess it up and you can check against before turning on the power. The reason for this is the wiring is not color coordinated so make sure you know which wire is going where. If you have never done this there are tons of good you tube videos that provide great info.

Great product, Bad shipping

First, I gave this 4 starts instead of 5 for one reason. The shipping. The product itself is hands-down pretty awesome, but when I received this product it was damaged in several places. One of the feet was bent and looked to be gouged quite a bit and tore all the paint off of it. The side was caved in slightly like it had been dropped on the power connection side. The front grill had been bent on two connection points and was just hanging on by two screws. Functionally the A/C unit as a whole performs flawlessly, which is why I went ahead and installed it after attempting to straighten and fix some of the damage. I fully expected some damage due to reading other reviews on the product that people experienced. The head unit was not damaged at all. The outside unit was the one that was damaged in multiple places, but not enough so to hamper its performance. I took pictures just in case the unit didn't function. As for setup and installation, the instructions are some of the best I've ever read. I was quite nervous about taking on this project. I'm very mechanically inclined, but I've never done an A/C unit installation before and I was stressed about the connection lines that were pre-charged with the freon. This process was simple and went flawlessly. I made absolutely certain the threads were lined up perfectly, followed the instructions step by step and it went very well. All-in-all I'm very pleased with the product and instructions. But had the product not arrived damaged, I would have given this 10 stars if it was possible.

Cooler Master bedroom

Installed in master bedroom. Bedroom faces the west and in the Texas summer regular AC lagged behind in that room. Install not bad except drilling through brick. So far so good, unit does as advertised.

Excellent Temp Year Round - Easy DIY

We've had our one zone Mr Cool for 2 years, fabulous! We're buying another one zone unit, as well as a two zone unit. Very economical. Use Turbo function when heating, I find warmer air for me. Personal choice. You won't be disappointed. We purchased at Lowes with a Military discount.
