Does not work - ZLINE customer service unhelpful

I was really excited to get this hood vent as it was exactly what I was looking for; however, I was quickly disappointed once it was installed. The hood vent does not work to specifications. I have a small kitchen; however, this hood vent struggles to pull any smoke. I will cook directly underneath the vent and even with this vent on the highest setting, my smoke alarm will still go off. The vent passes the tissue test, but barely. Contractor looked at it 2x; ZLINE customer service was unhelpful

DO NOT BUY

This hood was 2x more expensive than all the others so i assumed i would get a quality product. Nope. It is supposed to be quiet. Nope again- it sounds like an airplane in my home. By the way- its not BLACK like in the photos, which is very misleading. It is actually a dark charcoal gray and very shiny. It squeeks and rattles. Plus we werent sent all the parts so i had to chase down the company for the parts. Sadly we did not realize this product was junk until my contractor had it installed so we have to eat the cost of having another installed. Stay away
