Great product

After going through 2 failed purchases elsewhere at other competitors, we searched the Lowes website and chose this range vent. Delivered to the store, easy pick up, very friendly staff. It's heavy so 2 people to install it. I recommend adding 2 blocks of wood under your cabinet to screw into. Very pleased so far with its features.

Works well, if you don't mind the noise

This vent hood works well, however, it is very loud. The running joke in my house...it is a freight train! I needed to replace a vent hood in the interim for a remodel. This was inexpensive and fortunately is only temporary. Otherwise, I would have taken it down to send back. When the fan is on we don't talk and actually pause the TV so that everyone is able to hear what is being said. The lights were never really bright and seem to be dimming over the past few weeks...not sure how long they will be working. Other than those issues, the install was pretty straight forward. We used the back vent option. It converted easily enough. It is heavy when installing and definitely takes two people. The controls are convenient and easy to understand. It's easy to clean and is a low profile nice looking unit. All that said, I do not recommend this unit. It will be donated as soon as we finish the kitchen remodel with a note...it's loud!!

Item came defective with display not working

We got a brand new kitchen installed and my contractor installed this unit but turned out the display is not working. I contacted customer support of Empava along with the video of defective display (power button not working) and they said they will send a new display. Really??? I paid the full price and you sent me defective unit and not you want me to continue using defective unit and change display myself? Empava this is not done. Not recommended at all!!

Pain to install

Seems to be good quality but is a huge pain to install and has very little instructions and hardware.

Powerful hood

Nice powerful hood. Removes cooking smells nicely. It could be a little quieter, but then again it probably would not be able to remove food smells effectively.

Looks great! My husband installed it. Nice bright light too.

The vent is great. Good suction and light. Installation would have been a little easier if there was a template for where the screw holes should go.

We bought the Empava for my daughter’s new rental she was moving into. Went up easily, and the ducting accepted the 7” ducting in the place like a glove. Maybe a half hour to install the thing, tops!

Love it

We just finally placed it up in our newly refurbished kitchen. The only drawback is it makes loud sounds upon you using the remote or manually turning it on. Which you had a mute button so touching it won't make so much noise. :(

Moves a lot of air

Great exhaust fan, it's quiet on 1 and 2 speed and if you happen to get the kitchen really smokey you can set it at 3 or 4. It's loud but it will take care of all that smokey air. We love it since we cook a lot at home this is a great upgrade from a OTR microwave.

Stylish, outside venting works great, bright ligh.

Good value. Like that the filters are easy to remove and clean. Was easy to install, we already had outside exhaust ductwork in from a previous fan. Wish the light had a low or night light setting. Did a lot of canning since it was installed, did a very good job of pulling the moisture out. Noise level is not too bad with 2 fans. Would recommend with outside venting.

Excellant Quality Hood

Installation instruction was minimum but a DIY with average skills should be able to install it with no problem. The exhaust fan is quite powerful and more than adequate for normal cooking. We have been very happy with the hood so far.

Moves a lot of air. When you use setting 3 and 4 on the fan it's loud, I don't mind it though because I know it's taking the heat out of the kitchen. I also like that it's 22 inches deep meaning it works great for the front big burners. Sometimes others can be too short and you can get condensation in the front, but not this one.
