Poor Build Quality for the Price

For over $1,000, I expected much better. The glass panels on these barn doors were built wrong—one has the frosted glass outside and shiny inside, while the other is the opposite. This wasn’t an installation mistake; they arrived this way. The mismatch is obvious in person, but hard to show in photos—we have a video that clearly shows the issue. Very disappointed with the quality control. Wouldn’t recommend.

Love this modern barn door. I am using it for the media closet in the office. It matches the Pre-hung door installed in the office entrance so well. Great quality for the price.

I purchased 2 of these for closet and bathroom. I am in love! Keep in mind the total height of 84 in is only the door and does not include the hardware. We had to make a few corrections in the beam for these to work. Other than that they are beautiful

Love this door so much! It was pretty easy to install. It’s heavy duty! Solid metaliron and glass. Really great quality for the price imo. The only issue we had was we hung the door a bit too high because of the doorframe and it doesn’t reach down to the floor track piece. So we have to be careful not to push out on the door while sliding it.

Love this door! Install was decently easy. Definitely be sure to install a 2x4 (paint it before install) to your studs before adding the door track into the 2x4 (instructions didn’t say it anywhere but videos online all had it)! It is also imperative that it is perfectly level or else the door will slide to one side.

Love This Door!!

This door is great quality and looks beautiful. We needed to drill an extra hole in the track to be sure that we were able to attach to two studs, but got it done without a problem (Emailed Cal Home to see if we can get another spacer, lag screw & washer to fill the hole). All in all the installation was pretty straightforward - Definitely best to have 2 people for this project. I highly recommend this door!

Modern barn door

This turned out very well. Made our entry way to our master bath very sleek and modern. The frosted glass gave us the additional privacy we wanted. I would have gave 5 stars but the metal where they joined the pieces are dented in. Not sure if this is on all their doors or this was a one off. Otherwise door was great. For installation, I recommend placing blue tape on wall bar. Poke the holes through the blue tape. Then remove the blue tape as your template and put the blue tape with holes on the wall for your drilling template. No need to measure each hole out, then just make sure the blue tape is leveled and even on the wall

We LOVE our barn doors! They look amazing and are great quality. They feel solid. We purchased two to fit a six foot opening into our den. They add so much to the look of the room. Highly recommend these doors!

If I could give this item zero stars I would. Beautiful heavy door but SO MANY ISSUES. The holes for the wheels on top of the door are in the wrong places - ok we can buy metal screws and make that work. Then there aren't any holes for the door handles - again, not great, but we can figure something out. The biggest issue though? There isn't a channel in the bottom of the door to keep it on a track. That means every time the door opens it slides against the wall, tearing up paint and scratching the floors. So incredibly frustrating. Professional contractor spent an entire day trying to get this door installed and it still has problems. To make matters worse we didn't notice all the issues within 30 days of delivery (because we were waiting for a bigger project to start) so Wayfair's only suggestion is the call the manufacturer and hope it's covered under a warranty. Even if it is, we'll have to hire a contractor again to swap everything out. Just awful.

CalHome Black 7-panel Barn Door

Seriously love the door. It's perfect for the bathroom with frosted glass on one side and matte glass on the other, and a handle. It's very heavy but straight-forward to install (helps to have a second set of hands) and looks top notch in the space. Very happy with the quality of the product and the included hardware.

Beautiful door. Installed without problem (header bolts were missing, though, but could get them easily at the hardware store). This door is heavy and the mounted floor door guide makes it fit nicely on closing. Inside door pull is a bit shallow, but outside handle is more practical since it's easy to grip. The frosted window coating allows light, but still maintains privacy. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

The door looks great but we can't install as the drywall anchors didn't hold at all. We think we have found a solution for this but still need the hardware for the handle as it came with a handle but none of the correct hardware to attach it. Hoping the company reads this review so we can get the missing hardware. Would also love to know what other people used instead of the supplied drywall anchors which don't work at all.

Overall a beautiful door for the price. The two issues we found is that unless you are using this on way that has plenty of room to put the predrilled holes (16" apart for studs) directly into studs you will have to drill your own. Not the end of the world, buy the right drill bill; however, plugs for the holes you can't see would be a nice add in. It is very heavy so you really need to use 5 studs.

The quality is less than expected. The metal is thin and can make a sound when pressed on. There are visible weld marks in the corners. With that said, you are getting a look for less. There are other companies that make beautiful heavy gauge steel doors. These ain't it lol but if you're trying to achieve a look for less this fits the bill. You get what you pay for.

Got a lemon

Love this door, but think we got a lemon. Only 1 handle came and no inset. Also only able to put handle on the right side of the door and not both. We need it on the left. Ordering a new one and returning this one. Hoping the new one has all the correct pieces and the handles are interchangeable as the description says. Frost is also bubbled.
