No practical mounting arrangement included; the supplied brackets & riv-nuts are unusable in 80% of likely surrounds. So I had to design a ridiculously complex backplate & armature. Even the instructions are like: "You may need to drill a bunch of mounting holes in your new hood to suit your cabinetry." Requires two buttons to operate: one to power up the hood, another to choose fan speed. This is dumb. It is medium quiet and pulls a fair amount of air.

We just finished tge installation of this cabinet insert hood and I have to say to was one of the hardest installation i did ever. The instructions book show little to no information about the installation It actually show more information to the stand alone or the wall mount unit than the cabinets insert model!!!!

This unit fit perfectly in my custom range hood. It does a good job cleaning the smoke and smells out of the air BUT it is LOUD! Oh my goodness! If I turn it up too high, it is only for emergencies because it can be heard to the other side of the 2000sqf house. The unit is loud. SO LOUD. I’m discouraged to use it but it’s installed and the installer dumped the box so I’m stuck for a while with this jet engine in my kitchen. Cleaning is easy. Stainless filters are easy to keep clean. LEDs light up well. Operation is easy with the side panel. I’d love it if it was not so darn loud. I’d post a video if possible. Believe me, I am not exaggerating.

Gorgeous addition to our kitchen

The hood fits perfectly into the theme of our 100 year old farm house. The option to add the stainless steel moulding was the perfect touch. We only have 7' ceilings so had to purchase the short ceiling kit in addition to the hood. We went with the recirculating option and while it does a good job we mY end up doing a direct vent as we can still set off the smoke detector! It's not a quiet fan by any means but it is great quality for a very reasonable price.

We were so excited when we bought our ZLINE ducted wall mount range hood insert. I remember telling my wife at the store to find the cheapest item she can find and eliminate them from our original list. She got what I meant and eventually we decided to by this range hood. Not only did it make our kitchen look gorgeous, but it also makes cooking less tricky since we don't have to deal with smoke and steam tripping the fuse anymore.

Had a hard time finding a fan the size I wanted but this was it! I wanted a larger size and most were not long enough for my 36" stove width

Loud and lights not functioning properly

I've tested the hood using a sound level meter and the unit is louder at the lowest setting than advertised at the highest setting. Additionally, the lights in the hood work intermittently and the company has been very slow to respond to the issue and it still have not been resolved. We've been using the unit for 10 months and it is powerful and does a good job exhausting fumes. However, due to the loudness and the issue with the lights I would not recommend the unit.

Very strong fan and great lights. Installation was a little challenging, and the screws that came with it were terrible. Had to use our own good wood screws as the screws that came with it all snapped off at the head when screwing into the wooden hood. Other than the screws, the product is very powerful and made from high quality materials.

*update- 2 years after purchase. We have called the manufacturer twice to replace LED lighting and they have both times without a charge Still hoping for a longer lasting light kit but great customer service We have had this for 6 months in a new construction house. It was installed in a custom wood ventahood cabinet. The lights blink -all four of them! This starting happening after only two months! After a few days it reset itself but happens every couple of weeks and now will not reset itself! My husband called the manufacturer and they told him to take out the lights and they would send us some new ones so they are aware of the issue. So now have to get an electrician or our HVAC guys (they installed it) to come back and take them out (have to pull the whole thing out) and send them back! This is not good customer service! No offer to have someone come out to fix it or anything! For the price of this thing I'm not happy! My kitchen looks like a disco bar when I turn it on! I'll update if they reach out and help me.

I'm a big fan of this range hood! It pulls air quickly and quietly. Installation wasn't much of a problem at all, didn't even have to hire a professional! The adjustable spotlights are sooo convenient in the my kitchen. I'd absolutely recommend this product to anyone in need of an insert range hood!

Lovely and so well made!

After hunting high and low for a beautiful range hood for my new kitchen I came across this one and was really pleased to see the price. It was just what I was looking for AND it included the fan system. I received it quickly after ordering and couldnt wait to open the box and take a look. I was thrilled to see it is just as lovely as it looks online. I dont have it up yet as my kitchen hasnt been started yet. I will take a picture and post here as soon as the kitchen is complete. Do not hesitate to purchase this. Its awesome.

We could not be happier with our new hood insert. Strong enough to suck the fillings from your teeth, yet quiet enough not to be obtrusive. It's decorative front is made of "REAL" stainless steel (non-magnetic) and not that cheap stuff used by most foreign manufacturers now days to wrap most of our modern appliances!
