Confusing Rating

The specification for this unit says max CFM is 430 but the product details say it has a 610 CFM blower. I've been arguing with my installer about the correct duct sizing. Is it 8" for 430 max or 12" for 10 max? Also concerned about noise. Can the blower be modified to a lower max after installation if too loud? Do most users just run at a lower speed from the user controls?

Lights and suction awesome

Does a great job venting the cooktop. Lighting and draw are superior to any vent I have used.

The Bosch hood is excellent. Home Depot was the only company that could get it in less than 2-3 weeks: it took about 4 days! Excellent exhausting, nice crisp lighting, and very sleek!

Great and super quiet

This vent is so nice! The light is super bright, and it’s quiet! Love connecting to WiFi!!

Poor Documentation

Documentation for grease bars, Charcoal is aweful and this unit could cause a fire if not installted properly. Also Tech Support phone call to GE didn't know and said I can't bring up the info on this part.

So many features!

I asked my local appliance salesman for the most powerful hood for my 36" six-burner range and this was what he recommended. He nailed it! This hood is so powerful, and yet has so many features, I am absolutely thrilled with it!

The vent hood looks great and the fan works well, and the buttons are easy to operate. Why only one star? Oh that is because I value my life and don’t want to be randomly attacked by falling heavy-metal baffles with sharp corners when I’m cooking over a hot stove. These ventilation baffles have fallen off so many times for me now I don’t understand how this hood ever got a good review?!! Also when installing them it takes some time to get it right to keep them from falling or knocking each other off (there are 3). When I put them back in I need to put a large pillow on top of the stove so it doesn’t come crashing down on the stove. If I had a glass cooktop instead of a steel grate on my stove it would probably have been broken/ruined by now. Likely need to figure out some solution with putty or something to keep these in place. They have randomly fallen out when no one is even working at the stove. They kind of balance in place and it is honestly surprising to me that an injury from this hasn’t led to a lawsuit yet.

Too noisy for the price

Very noisy for a 2023 model year range hood. They should have made whisper quiet. Good thing is that is appears to be "filter free". You do have to clean the metals plate somehow. Have not figured it out if its hand wash or dishwasher washable.

Vent hood works well

Good product. Works well. Light adjustable and fan adequately sting. Cleans easy!

Great vent hood!

This hood is not too noisy even when in hi. It does exactly what it should do…provide ventilation when needed.

Powerful

Despite it sounding like an airplane taking off, it functions well and offers nice lighting.

Nice hood insert

So far we are delighted with vent. Be aware it has an 8” duct vent. This is a bit larger than most, but what makes it also quieter than most other vents. The three lights are nice too.

Looks very good and does the job.

I bought this range hood because it was nice and modern looking, I was limited in my selection because I needed to vent to the wall. The specifications says very clear it could be use with the vent in the top or rear vent to the wall. It comes to vent for the top, but it can be converted to vent in the back. The istructions to do this were photos showing 8 screws beind removed, then flip the motor (no photo of tghis part), then to attach the screws again. Well this is not true at all, the process to flip the motor was very dificult even for the specialized technician. Finally it was installed and looks and work very well. It is quiet and efficient.

Powerful product.

Great vent hood while cooking under high heat. Turbo mode is just slightly loud but it does a great job pulling in all fumes.

Does its job well

We love our Cafe’ Range hood insert. It lights up the cooking area very well and has only needed the low option for ventilation
