Can't get gestures to work

I've had two of these hoods, both with the same failure. The gestures controls occasionally work, but not reliably. I've tried everything with fast, slow, close, more distant. I've watched the videos and also tried much faster passes like some report to solve the issue. Just a crappy sensor, I guess.

Wish it had a clock but otherwise I am extremely satisfied with this range hood

worth to buy

I bought this product in November 2023 and waited for few months to givr a right feedback. Im impressed with this product, except for the noise it makes. It removes smoke from the kitchen, but it should have done better. Overall, I recommended this product for this budget.

Heavier than expected so a little more troublesome to install. Had to adapt exhaust and build framework to accommodate fan. Runs okay so far and will be checking out its capabilities.

I am a builder that just retired. I remodeled my new home and for appliances I did an extent research (YouTube and reviews around). This hood came at the top of my list. I cook a lot but do not like the smell in the house. I cook a lot of fish and curries and now I can say for the first time my home is food smell free. Love it love it.

This is a really GREAT product.

What I like about the product is the touchless technology. To be able to turn it on and off without touching it or using the remote.

sensor on/off feature doesn’t work

The sensors do not work well at all. Probably work once out of 100 tries. So I have given up trying! And this is the 2nd range hood because we all felt the first one was defective and replaced it with the 2nd one with the same problem.

This hood and cooktop stove replaced a GE Profile down draft cooktop. With a 900 cpm dual fan system it removes all the steam and grease generated from cooking.

I installed it about a month ago with the help of a friend. You need 2 people to install it, it's not light weight. So, for most people who are not handy with electrical wiring or making alterations should hire a professional. A little bit noisier than my Braun but it has twice the power to make up for it.

This was a replacement for a dead 18 yo hood. Install was fairly straightforward. Definitely a 2-person job. And I'd suggest looking closely at the install template - it did not exactly match with the type of holes needed for mounting. Not a crisis - just a bit frustrating.

Hand waving sensor didn't work. I forgot to test it prior installing to the place, so lazy to remove it. It was not strong enough to suck all smoke out so still smell little in house.

We received on time and it's working very well.

Easy to install, led lights are nice and bright. The fan is loud on level 3 and 4 but not deafening. The only thing I didn't like that I thought I'd like was the gesture, it's way to sensitive, just walking by will trip it on so I have disabled that function. That's my only complaint with it.
