We purchased the natural with intent to stain to match our cabinets. The hood part would not take stain. After several attempts we ended up painting it.

The first one that I ordered had protruding nail heads that on the front of the chimney The second one I ordered had cracks in the wood along the border of the range hood cover. Home Depot was nice enough to let me keep the chimney that was in the best shape and the range hood covered that was in the best shape. I had to get it painted for an extra $400 (there is nothing White about this range hood cover when you get it. It is a cream or a light beige. They should change the color name to Cream). Quality control at Zline could use some improvement. My installer said that the instructions were very vague. Luckily he had experience installing range hood covers, so he did not need that many instructions. The fan is noisy because the grates do not fit tightly. Overall, once I could get one in good condition and painted it turned out nice.

Mechanics and ease of cleaning are excellent. Cosmetic brought down to good because I had to use a furniture pen to darken the intentional indents as they were much lighter than pictured and changed the top molding piece to extend the chimney to my 9’ceiling.

We love this! It actually looks much better in person, this picture doesnt do it justice. Works great. Cant comment on installation since we had a contractor do it. Its a beautiful focal point in our kitchen. We had a tight budget for this renovation but splurged on this item, and no regrets! The tile and canisters are from WF also.

Looks beautiful except that it came with large scratches across the front. They seem intentional - some of the scratches look natural, but across the front they look fake. Will need to use wood markers to fill them in to look right.

Sleek Venthood

This venthood complimented my space perfectly! The texture, bold color, etc. was perfect! Per my contractor team installation was very simple and quick. Specs and measurements of the additional extender was exact and made retro fitting hassle free. I love this item and everyone confirms it’s the statement piece of the kitchen!

Love this range hood! Purchased the cottage white. It is a perfectly creamy white installed on outside west kitchen wall. Coordinates perfectly with satin wall paint BM OC-17 Dove White. Arrived with all the parts and medium effort to personally install. So many compliments. White Tile is also from Wayfair.

Just Horrible

I bought the range hood only to recieve just the chimney to start with, two weeks later I got the rest of it . After prepping everything for this hood vent I realized that it was missing the bracket that attaches the chimney to the base . I contacted Zline and home depot and was treated rudely . I was told to return the product to the store if didnt like it , I just want the bracket but nobody can help me .Horrible service by both companies

Extremely DISAPPOINTED Customer

The canopy does not extend to my 10-foot ceiling was not explained during the initial purchase. Called Zline customer service, was not hopeful nor friendly. The extension is quite expensive and not in my budget I could not recommend this product. Wish I had selected a different brand.

We didn't due the top moulding piece as it didn't fit snug to the "rectangular box" portion that it fits around - very large gaps all around. We actually preferred it without anyway. It looks and functions great. The two lights are directional and can be independently moved to your liking. The fan itself works really well. Can't go wrong for the price.

BE AWARE for the ductless option you will have to buy an additional $100 crown molding which is NOT included (although description makes no mention of needing an additional part). I brought this up to ZLINE as I felt this was incorrect advertising. Their response- “thanks for bringing it to our attention but you will still have to purchase the additional crown molding.”

Don’t buy this unless you are capable of modifying

Do not purchase this unless you know how to modify ducting and electrical because the chimney is too narrow to cover both in the same wall cavity and there is not a punch out in the back. You will also need to make sure you have supports in the wall to hang this from as it is a very heavy unit. This chimney was not long enough even after purchasing the extended piece for my vaulted ceilings height although I gave the measurements when purchasing. The crown and hood have white paint spattered and in the distressed marks and the chimney has dark. I had to rub dark paint on both and wipe it off to get a similar look to the chimney. I would have returned this item but there was not time to get a replacement.

Not white

The "white" hoods are not white at all. They are very cream colored and they don't match the white Zline stoves. They clash with them. How can a company make two white products that will be next to each other and not make them match? I am very upset and I would return them if we hadn't bought them a year ago. They were stored and just installed this month. I contacted Zline corporate to complain and they couldn't care less.

We like the quality of the exhaust hood, but we found the instructions to be very poor. The three pages that apply to our hood, repeated tsome steps, and skipped the others. We had to figure it out based on other models. They also shipped two of one part, and did not include the correct screws. If you are retrofitting this into an older house, be aware that the TWO SCREWS that hold the entire hood to the wall are 7" centers, and MUST go into a support stud. We ended up busting out a part of the wall and installing a 2 x 6 between the old studs, to mount it. We also upgraded the screws themselves, because one of the supplied screws bent under the weight of the hood. This hood, being wood, is heavy!

First off; this range hood is truly an awesome piece of an appliance to add character to your kitchen. It has a strong motor and great grease traps/grates that are easy to clean. All buttons and switches are located conveniently and out of the way on the underside of the unit where the lights are at. Once installed it truly looks like a very high end appliance. Item came damage free with smooth lines and very few imperfections which is surprising considering the fact this is actually constructed out of wood and painted.

I would not recommend for that reason. I like that the light direction is adjustable, but I would've also like settings of dimness for the lighting. The lights are either on or off. Many hoods have a dimmer, kind of night light setting. This one does not.
