The alcove installation should say new construction only. Any kind of remodeling application is tough. The wall sections arent bad but the base is near impossible to set with all three stud walls framed. Fiberglass chips easy at the connections as well. Looks really nice I guess thats a plus.
Arrive damaged - 3 times. Poorly made. Stress points of pan are very week.
I ordered this shower base and paid all that money and was sent the wrong date that did not have the seat in it. It got lost in transit and didn't didn't get to me when they said . I called customer service 5 times and didn't get proper help. I am definitely not satisfied.
Good luck getting one that isn't broke. Took me 2 months and I still don't have a complete unit.
Beware of specifications.
The drain is described as being centered. It is not. The dimensions are 48 wide by 36 deep. The drain hole is correct at 24 on the width but measures 16 off the back wall. If it was centered it would be 18. Thanks for creating more work . A diagram in the item description would be nice.
