Exactly what we wanted. Others reported noise, but we do not have any noise. In the manual it noted that at times, there can be noise after installation that goes away. This was our case. Initially we heard a hum, but in a few hours it stopped. Also. I had read that some people got noise when installing and having wires rubbing on something. So, we were careful to tuck in all wires when installing. Others reported the blades are plastic, yes they are, but they don't look cheap. We replaced an old Hunter Fan and we are very happy with the results and use the remote wall-mounted. Good purchase.

Easy to install, very quiet fan

pushes a lot of air, very easy install. only issue i had was the space under the canopy for the remote receiver is VERY tight.

Endless Hum

First one was replaced after being told that capacitor and relay were bad. Did not like the idea of replacing parts!! They sent a new one. Was reinstalled. Still hums but a little less than first fan.

Loud humming noise on medium and high

Coming from a high-end 25-year old Casablanca that was dead quiet even on high, I wasn't ready for the noise level from this fan. It looks fine, and it works well as a fan, but it can be easily heard over the tv and normal conversation on all but the slowest speed.

Love it! I have three of them throughout my condo and had one at my previous place which I had over 10 years. For one of the fans at my current condo, I added a 12” downrod because I have 11’ ceilings with a very open space. In one of the bedrooms I did not add downrods and they work equally as well. All of them are very quiet, do not wobble at high speeds, give off plenty of air, and the light is nice and bright and can be dimmed. Please note, if you have multiple fans, make sure you change the frequency on each because you may turn one on in a bedroom and end up turning on a light in the living room.

Great quiet lighted ceiling with remote control

I really like this fan. It has a lovely contemporary silhouette and is quiet but effective in cooling my large bedroom with three speeds. The only reason I've given it 4 stars is because the light is quite bright. Although I do love the illumination, I wish it had a dimmer to control the intensity.

This fan never worked. And now Wayfair is saying that it is out of the return window. I thought it was the electricians fault and had them come back twice. And now I have a 400 fan that doesn’t come on. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

Beautiful! Slim understated but gets noticed because of that exact reason. It’s nice and quiet. Air circulation absolutely excellent. The remote does turn on the fan in another room close by. In my case master and spare bedroom. Easy solution l turned off the main power switch in the room not being used. Some call it a con for me was no issue. The light is bright, that can be dimmed. The remote is a bigger in size than “my”preference. Only because it seems most remotes have more of a sleek design these days.

MinkaAire has terrible service!

Terrible product! The motor was defective from the start. I contacted Minka Aire and they confirmed that the motor was defective. Their solution was to send me parts to replace the defective ones. Great service for a fan that was bad from the time of installation.

Fan is nice but it rattles and inky soins one way. Took some time to use it enough to realize it’s flaws and the it was too late to return it. Dimmer switch is clumsy and has only three settings. Not gradual up and down. Have kept it only for show. I will buy a new one when I can afford it. .

A gem in our living room

Looks so much better than any other fan. Easy to assemble, has summer and winter mode, 3 speeds, bright LED light.

It's a great fan except . . .

The shape of the fan blades push a lot of air instead of just slicing through the air so you don't have to stand directly under the fan to feel the air moving. It's a great fan except for the fact that the white is a very shiny plastic which makes it look cheap. If it was a matte white, it'd be 5 stars.

Completely quiet after fixing a rubbing sound caused by vibrations against the sticky ceiling paint (inserted paper between the canopy and the ceiling as a buffer). The fan has a very attractive, clean, and simple design, and the Koa color connects well with other wood elements in the room. The Koa-color paint did scrape off easily from the downrod, though, and quite a lot of touch-up was necessary after installation. The remote is simple and intuitive. I also really appreciate that the fan has a low profile, which is essential for the low ceiling (7' 9") where it is installed.

We liked the look of these so much we bought two; one for the playroom and one for then guest room. The fixture is slick and modern. Gives sufficient light to be in room but it is not task lighting. Fans is nice touch.

Looks good. Works well

Fan with light is over our bed. It provides cooling when hot so that don't have to keep thermostat as low. Light avoids having to install separate hi hat. Convenient portable controller; can adjust when in bed. Attractive, modern-looking fan.

I decided to replace the light fixtures in my 100-year-old house. These are perfect and the remote mounts easily on the wall with no rewiring. I love the look and bought 4 of them.

Impressive

This fan is on the higher end of the price scale, but worth every penny! It is whisper quiet and the design of the blades makes it very efficient. The fan has three speed settings and the center light can go from very bright to dim with the touch of a button on the included remote. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Noisy motor

Very dissatisfied with this fan. Although it is beautiful the motor has a very loud hum especially on the fast setting. I will need to have the electrician come back and remove it and replace it with a different fan. For the price I was expecting much better quality.

Fan clicks

We installed this fan a few months ago and noticed immediately that it makes a loud clicking sound on medium speed and is so loud on high speed that you can hear it across the house. It’s made from plastic and the plastic can’t handle the speed of the fan

Stylish fan, but rattle noise

I was very disappointed with this fan. It is stylish and looks great. But the one I bought makes a rattle noise that won't let me sleep. I tried all speeds, and flipping the direction of the blades. Same problem. Will return.
