Great fan.....but don't buy from Lowes.

I love this fan. This fan is GREAT. Unfortunately, I had to give it a 1-star review on Lowes website.

Fan is quiet running, motor is slower than the one I replaced. This fan does seem to function effectively considering the slower speed. Light bulbs were included and provide plenty of light. Overall nice fan, would recommend buying.

Don't buy! Support and instructions are not good.

This fan appears to be well made, but if you need to install it without a light kit, good luck. The instructions refer you to a website on how to install it without the light, but you won't find a link on that website on how to do it. I was able to figure it out, but it wasn't easy. Also, I had to call support on an unrelated issue and was given the runaround. Was also able to overcome this issue, so the light is installed (and works well), but not without problems. That's the reason for this low rating.

I’m considering getting a second Hunter / Crestfield fan. Product was beautifully packed and my husband and I installed the fan ourselves. There is a pretty barnwood gray on reverse side of the light brown wood grain blade. The fan is very quiet and three light bulbs included in package give plenty of light. Very pleased with this beautiful fan!

Replaced three old fan/lights with these. I’ve installed many fans over the years and Hunter has the best quality and installation instructions. The hardware works well, and the lights are more the adequate. Fans are smooth and dead quiet - except for some wind noise at higher speeds.

Hunter Quality Going Downhill

We purchased SEVEN of these fans. The screws that hold the fan to the ceiling joist have stripped out or the heads have broken off of them on EVERY FAN. These are the screws that keep the fan from falling on you in bed or in your living room or wherever. The history of Hunter Fans has always been top notch quality. I cannot believe they are using some cheap foreign made screw for this important function. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase new ones to use that were SAFE. I will think twice before using Hunter again.

I love this ceiling fan.

This is a beautiful ceiling fan. I chose this to match my stainless steel appliances. It is a replacement for another ceiling fan. The only issue we had installing it was installing the bracket. We have an older home and the bracket did not fit the existing ceiling fixture box, we had to change that out. Otherwise, it was simple to install and looks beautiful.

A lot of fans now have integrated led lights. This one does not. I didn’t want to need to purchase another fan because the light stopped working! I bought two of these. The multiple lights spread out will help in the rooms with no additional lighting. I also will be adding a remote. I haven’t hung them yet, but other reviews are good.

Guess I Got The Junk One

Disappointed in my first Hunter fan since all others are Hampton Bays, but this one fit our remodel the best and had great reviews. Purchased fan mid-July and now fan motor is no longer working. Past couple weeks it didn’t want to spin unless you push started it. Just over three months old and its dead. Forward, reverse or any speed just doesnt work. Can hear motor hum real soft on coulle setting, but never spins. I know the warranty states lifetime, but now what? I have to pay to have removed, ship to repair center?, wait how long with nothing in room and then pay to have reinstalled? Cant wait to make the call tomorrow for warranty to see how that all goes. :(

Decent Flush mount ceiling fan

The product came exactly as described. It was easily put together and installed. Directions were very clear. The only reason I took a star away is because I am a home Remodeler and the fans these days seem to come with issues, including this one. The issue with this one, that doesn't affect operation overall, is that the housing will move an inch when the fan is turned on and off, which means the electric motor causes the lighting portion to move a small amount. Otherwise, the fan works correctly and it gives the ceiling a clean look.

I love how this fan looks. I like the reversible blades. It was a little hard to install and difficult to balance. But It really modernized my living room. What disappointed me was the fact that I thought it came with a remote based on the description but looking more closely realized it's "remote compatible". I had bought it because I thought it came with a remote control. Then looking into adding a remote realized it's an extra 100+ dollars. Which is ridiculous . Had I known originally it didn't come with it I probably would've purchased a different fan. So it looks nice but if you want a remote go for a different fan.

We love this ceiling fan! The reversible blades are nice, and we chose the Drift Wood color. I had to install a new ceiling fan rated electrical box because the previous was too small. Once installed, the fan took me about 90 minutes to assemble. The low-profile design and colors are great. The fan is quiet and speed is adjustable. The lights give off good lighting for a smaller room. The blades were easy to snap/press on. Several smaller screws to tighten, but the design is brilliant and relatively easy to assemble.

Check before installing

We had two of these fans in our living room in bronze and get a lot of compliments on their design. I ordered another one in Matte Silver to put in our bedroom, but the quality was not the same. The finish on all the components is splotchy like it was haphazardly spray painted. More importantly, the housing has two notches opposite from one another that are designed to keep it secure (in addition to 4 screws). One of these notches must have been machined poorly because there was absolutely no way to get it around the motor bracket. Of course I only discovered this once I had spent a considerable amount of time taking down the old fan and wiring up the new one. I ended up having to run a file over the notch to shave it down enough so the housing could slip on properly. For these reasons, I cannot give this fan 5*s.

Used this fan/light combo in our living room that did not have a light before. VERY quiet fan! As in, you can’t tell it is running when sitting under it if it weren’t for feeing the air blow on you. Nice choice of fan blade colors that works with many homes decorating styles. Really like the clear globes for light output, hard to find clear on fixtures now. The tradeoff for the clear globes is they do show up dust quickly, but, small price to pay for the amount of light into room, which is what we were after. Fan moves a lot of air even on low speed. We chose this style of hugger fan to not obstruct views in room on an eight foot ceiling and it fits the needs just right. Price was fair and shipping very quick. Would buy again and already did purchase the 42 inch version for a small bedroom. Would recommend!

The item arrived promptly and in great shape. Installation is straight forward. As with all fans the blade balancing part is a pain but in the end it performs well. Its a nice looking fan with one exception. The clear globes, while a nice and different design look poor as the bulb is fully visible and the light displacement is glaring. To remedy this I taped off the outside of the globe and sprayed the inside with four coats of Rustoleum frosted glass spray. This worked very well though they really should come frosted from the factory.

We bought this exact fan/light for our daughter's bedroom and loved it. So, we bought another one (this one) for our own master bedroom. It's fine, except when you turn on the fan, the light fixture "shimmies" (turns in place, inappropriately). Also, when you turn off the lights, one of them turns off prematurely instead of all of them turning off together. It's annoying, but not worth returning. This is not a Home Depot problem, it's a Hunter quality control problem. I'd be a bit hesitant to buy another Hunter because of this, though we've been pleased with Hunter in the past. We had the same professional installer, so it's a fan problem, not an installation problem.

Really like the overall look of this fan so would give it 5 stars on that! For my overall experience with installation, it was easy to install except easier to pop the blades as a last step (learned that later) and then I decided I wanted to add a remote control. With this model, you must disassemble the entire unit, you cannot just drop the canopy to expose the wiring. Finally, after installing the remote, I could not get the lights to dim so after calling Hunter, I learned that you have to 'engage' the dimming feature by following the instructions under Troubleshooting; CFL bulbs flicker. Even though that was not my problem, that was the solution. Unfortunately, I learned it the hard way!

Love this fan!

I only buy hunter fans, we installed this brand in our previous house, as well as our new one. I have yet to be disappointed. This fan is super stylish and modern, and not an eyesore like so many other fans out there. I love that the light shades are clear glass (frosted shades always tend to look dirty in my opinion). The lights are super bright, our electrician connected the light and fan to a dimmer and it works flawlessly. It’s so quiet you don’t even hear it when it’s on high. It provides great airflow, and I love the option of lighter or darker fan blades. Couldn’t be happier with it!

The appearance of the fan is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and ears (it's quiet). But I had some minor/major issues with installation. Now I might just be complaining but I think my issues are warranted. My first issue which is minor that there are no instructions on what to do when there is a red wire coming from the the ceiling. My second complaint which is major to me, is that the fan base does not fit flush to the ceiling. This does not sit well with me. I tried pushing it up but the was the the bracket is manufactured it leaves space between the ceiling and the base cover. My 3rd issues which is also a pretty big deal is that one of the lock in screws for the fan motor was completely not useful. I'd chalk this one up to quality control. All parts should be inspected before they are sent out for general distribution. Another minor issues...the light bulbs provided (which I am thankful for) were a little hard to screw in for some reason. Weird. However, the fan does look good. The rest of the installment went well and the fan blades themselves were a piece of cake to install.
