Do not recommend the Roto model

We have a new home and the builder installed several fans. The 2 Minka-Aire Roto fans both had issues (one very loud, one very loud and only worked on low speed) and had to be replaced in less than a year of use. When I went to replace them the salesperson said that many customers had similar issues with this particular model. I replaced them with the same size (52") fan, but from the Simple family of Minka-Aire fans. Those are a bit more expensive. They work perfectly.

Lowe's Does not stand behind their sales

The fan is great, but Lowe's is guilty of false advertising and has done nothing to remedy the situation. The item is labeled as "... Ceiling Fan and Remote.." but there is no remote. The unit does not support a remote. I called customer support and was told to call the manufacturer, Minka, but the package was labeled accurately. The error is within the Lowe's text on its web page. I tried the on line chat, and was offered the "value of the remote" as a credit of $21, which I have not received. I just checked the product on the web page and it still says it includes a remote.

Will be replacing 3 more ceiling fans this this one.

My wife and I are delighted with this ceiling fan. I called Minka Aire service with a few questions prior to the installation and they were very helpful. The installation was straight forward and the fan is quiet and cosmetically clean and simple while looking great.

Terrible noise on any fan level. Bad purchase. Never had this problem with Hunter fans.

Beautiful modern design

We love these fans so much we now have one in every bedroom and great room. Well made, gorgeous aesthetic and very powerful. Highly recommend!

Looks nice-but noisy

Fan looked nice - but was way a too loud even on the slowest speed.

Replacing after less than 1 year

I cannot recommend this fan. Our builder installed 4 in our new home and, less than a year later, each fan is operating loudly and one is unusable. Our electrician says the motors are going out. MinkaAire hasn't been helpful, nor has build.com.

There is no remote as they claim

I bought it specifically because it stated that it has a remote. It does NOT! Doesn't seem to move much air

It looks handsome in my bedroom. I like the contemporary styling with my traditional looking home. I may get another. It is chic, quiet and cools off my large room very nicely.

Great fan. We purchased 3 of the white MinkaAire fans. Very streamlined and clean looking. Fits in smaller rooms too without looking too overpowering We had recessed lighting so didn’t want a fan with a light
