The unit looks pretty good and seems to function well, installation seemed easy enough but it is NOT matte black. It is high gloss like patent leather and that’s why it only got 3 stars. Had it actually come in matte black I would have given it all 5

Very quiet. I don't like the glass cover. I thought it was plastic. I would feel safer with plastic over my head instead of glass. Not a deal breaker

Really quiet fan and good lighting for a bathroom

This replaced an old exhaust fan in the house we bought 25 years ago. The fan/light still worked great but the plastic housing had yellowed and we wanted to update it. The Akicon looks great and works well. Only time will tell if it last as long as the one we replaced!

Works as well as advertised

Sleek look and very bright exactly what I want

I truly love the exhaust fan/light. So I ordered a second one for the 2nd bath. It came damaged and to late for the contractor to switch out, so just the main bath has this beautiful light. Sad I couldn't do both.

I had it professionally installed and it's wonderful. Super quiet compared to the one I replaced and the multiple light intensity on the bulbs is a nice feature. You can make them bright or not.

Returned. They look cheap and poorly made. Disappointed I had to pay shipping to return the item.

Installation Difficulty

The frame design of this item makes it extremely difficult to install. Why would it have mounting screw holes located behind the exhaust tunnel? I had access from both below and above, and yet it was still very difficult. Also, the oil rubbed bronze color is more of a semi-dark nickel.

Not oil rubbed bronze

Seems like a nice fixture but the color is nowhere near what you would call oil rubbed bronze. All other lighting in our master bath is trimmed out in ORB, so this won’t do. As another reviewer stated, it looked more silver- maybe oil rubbed brushed nickel ? but not dark or brown at all. It’s disappointing, as I was looking forward to having a fixture with bulbs that can be changed, instead of being entirely disposable, like everything else these days.

Contractor has not finished installation. Will review when completed.

These work really well and produce great light; HOWEVER, we had two sent and both had broken globes. The packaging may need to be revamped.
